celebrating a good play means well to everyone on that team.

so sick of this bowl eligible bullcrap. Hey thats great and everything, but if that is the only reason you came to Tennessee is to become bowl E. then you need to go. you dont coach in the SEC just to go to bowls. you coach here to be in the SEC championship because thats the door to the national championship. end of story. and if you cant see that and wanna spoon feed the fans the Bowl Eligibility crap then you need to go. You shouldnt be coaching in the SEC in the first place.

By half time we need at least 7 chest bumps and a couple high fives each quarter to have a chance.

Why do I have an uneasy feeling we will play like a hot mess of Chinatown garbage for 2-3 quarters???

well, it is TT, but, feel a different energy on this team now...first win of run and high fives all around...:)

GO VOLS...RUN THE TABLE!

But why would anybody want to watch Bama beat the brakes off of Tn a 2nd time. It would be worse than the first time.
Plus Tn does not deserve to play in it.

We don't deserve it, and another drubbing by Bama in the Championship will likely put us in a worse Bowl than simply winning out.

Face it, Butch squandered his opportunity to elevate his stock. I've said it before, and I believe it.....he's hit his high water mark here.

I can't believe how bad we played last Saturday night knowing what we had on the line. Not sure Hurd being off the team is going to turn things around. This team lacks confidence all the way around. We are slower and weaker than last year, with the same players in the same system .

It doesn't help when your QB can't throw except to the dirt, your defense is on the field constantly, and your OC seemingly doesn't know how to scheme or adjust every other week.

It seems somebody may have been asleep at the wheel since the bowl game...it's really seemed that way all year if we're honest.

I'm not Butch bashing here...honest question. Is it possible that he privately thought we were at the level to win big, and thought he could coast? I've thought, and stated, for a while that Butch really doesn't get the SEC grind, and how each and every game is meaningful. That is a point that has been driven home most clearly this year with our west division losses, and our giveaway to SC. Does Butch just not get the big picture? It's not a condemnation, as much as a serious concern. It seems like he's still trying to figure all this out. It's not the MAC.

All of that falls at the feet of the $4,000,000 man ultimately. Either fix the problems, or change the personnel. That's what the HC does.

Dudes, we blew one game. It's not like we suddenly haven't beaten Florida, Georgia, or Virginia Tech, or tied A&M in regulation ... four good teams.

Okay, we blew it against USCe. That does not mean we're gonna choke in the four remaining games. I personally don't think we're going to lose again this regular season.

There's adjusting to a new reality, and then there's hyperventilating. Let's don't hyperventilate.

If not for your post count and familiarity with your posts I would swear you were new here 😜

I don't know any high level coaches. I work with high level folks in other fields. Very few of that sort coast. It is part of their DNA to be driven and ambitious.

Plus Tn does not deserve to play in it.

And Florida would with 3 losses, one being in the head to head with Tennessee? smh

Besides there is no "deserving" or "not deserving" in SEC Football. This ain't a beauty pageant! The team with the best SEC record wins the East. Simple answer to your first question is don't watch the damn SECCG if you don't have the guts for it. Maybe there will be a nice Hallmark movie on that night that you can cuddle up in your safe place and watch.

As do I...which is why I ask. I don't recognize that trait in Butch. He's a hard worker, sure...but I don't see a drive to innovate, or to change what is not working, and turn it into something effective. Again, I'm not bashing this time, I'm really trying to be substantive in expressing what I'm seeing. I've never felt like he recognized the magnitude of every SEC contest....where one game can literally make or break the season. His statements actually have been to the contrary. It's one reason I feel like he's still learning on the job, and it troubles me.

They will be lucky to get 70k fans in that stadium this weekend.

If this team comes out flat again (which i doubt will happen) Mike Debord should be publicly fired before the halftime show.
