This was supposed to have been Tennessee's year to win the east. We are currently 5-3 but we were lucky the fumble was recovered in the end zone vs. Appalachian State. We had a hail mary caught to beat Georgia. We could have easily been 3-5 but by luck and chance we aren't. If we are really that good and this was supposed to be UT's year why are we playing so poorly? i expected this year to be our comeback year and i have been disappointed. We are barely winning when we do instead of blowing them out. We had some great talent but what good is talent if they aren't prepared. I don't know if the coaches aren't preparing them or if the players aren't taking games serious. But we should be playing better. I enjoyed last year more when we competed in every game and there were no expectation for us to be as good as we played.

Yeah, I think he knows how to keep his emotions under his control so that they don't cloud his judgment.

Personally, it was amazing for me to witness his real time response to the Georgia finale.
It seemed perfect.

He literally jumped for joy and then immediately bowed in gratitude.
That was very revealing to me and reflected the best indication possible that his
heart is in the right place. Showed he cares and has put his heart and soul into the team instead of just his best work efforts.

I do hope we win out for the fans, the team and the coaches. It's been a tough year.

He is underappreciated. This is my honest opinion about Butch Jones.

He's done a good job here and really bringing us on the radar. He is a great salesman for TN especially for what he inherited.

I think he could win us a NC or get us in contention for the playoffs. However, he has to make personnel changes. He could get by before but the SEC is a different beast. But honestly, I do not think he is the man for a Tennessee dynasty but I do think he can do better here. He is very underappreciated.

Jones has worked his ass off and done a lot of good things. It's just been hard to see this season come crashing down as it as, especially because we could regress next year, and that would not be good as we've still got a lot of work to do to get the program back to the top of the conference.

So funny. Those now believing Jimmy because he says something you like are the EXACT same ones who call him a fraud when he says anything positive about the team/Jones. LOL

So dip scrat Hyams makes garbage up ( as usual) and it's a statement no coach would ever make and we use it here to create Butch hate.

There's enough to dislike about Butch without this garbage

It's not like he did more than you'd expect of any coach that would be here. He's had two very good classes based off of instate recruiting and Vol legacies. Coming after Dooley, anyone would look like a hard worker because that 2012 class other than the gift wrapped Patterson was atrocious.

He should. From the dumpster fire we were 4 years ago to competing for SEC Division titles. Fair weather fans say what they will, very few coaches could get their first chance at a big school and recruit and coach like he has.

Competing for SEC East titles? We're third in the worst SEC East ever. Kentucky could beat us, and worse, they could get to the SEC championship game. A team that lost to Southern Miss.
