I have been thinking and I know this may stir a lot of people up, but I think it needs to be Butch Davis to replace Fulmer or no one else. If we do a replacement we need to get a guarantee that we will be hiring someone that will be better than what we have. I know the state of the program has been stale for a while and Fulmer is stubborn and wont let the best talent on the field, but is there any reason to make a change just to do so. Clawsons offense has not been very good this year, but he has not also been able to put players he has picked out to run his it. Next year could be a different story if Fulmer and Clawson stay. The players will have a full year and offseason under the same offense. I honestly think if we are not guaranteed something better we should just stick with what we have.
There is a chance that we do finish 7-5. Alabama and either Georgia or Florida have a chance to get automatic BCS bids. Which means if we are 7-5 we could get a bowl like cotton or peach. I dont think it will happen but its not out of reach. If we did go to 7-5 win a bowl game it may be hard to make a change.
