You never "pancaked" anyone except for yourself. You never demonstrated "evidence" beyond watching the same practice drills that the rest of us saw.

It is so obvious that Dobbs excels over Peterman in competitive situations that Ray Charles could see it... and those portions of practice were closed to cameras. You are apparently so dimwitted that you think being "back up" is the same as being second best. It isn't.

And when your explanations cannot account for all of the relevant facts... you can call it 100%. You cling apparently to those rare few points where those who disagree with you are asked to disprove a negative. For instance, I say that the coaches never declared that Peterman "won" the back up role. You say "prove" the coaches never said it.

You have not one shred of proof that shows that they ever considered Peterman their #2 QB other than the fact that they named him the back up AFTER deciding to RS Dobbs if they could.

Specific points where I categorically proved you wrong. One, you said that Dobbs was an inaccurate passer. I posted a mass of stats demonstrating that he's been an accurate passer.

Two, you claimed he was not the best runner... he most obviously was and is.

Three, you claimed that Peterman moved the team as well as Dobbs in his first two series vs Bama. I showed you PROOF from the game stats that he didn't.

Four, you claimed that there was no proof that the coaches wanted to RS Dobbs... you called that a "myth". In fact, it being a "myth" was a keystone of your whole argument that Peterman "won" the back up job. Now we have multiple occasions when coaches affirmed that they have planned to RS Dobbs since August KNOWING that Worley was the starter.

It "tough love." What's the problem? When Saban does it people think he is a genius. He's coaching! What about that do you not understand? And BTW, you only do it to the kids who are tough enough to handle it! Ever wonder why he never said anything bad about Worley?

No. To make an argument in a debate... you have to use reason and an honest treatment of the facts then formulate ideas that can be defended without having to resort to dishonest debate tactics.

I never tried to argue anything you said. I stated from the beginning I don't care who plays as long as we win. My only real opinion is that you are possibly insane. Maybe you are dating Peterman or really want to be dating him. Either way you are way too invested in him. And I find it weird. I'm certain I have an argument there.

You're right, American Pig. Peterman is clearly am SEC caliber QB, as evidenced by his 45 minutes of playing time, which most of us would rather forget.

Me too.

I actually like Peterman and think he has both the intelligence and physical tools to be a good QB. But somewhere between having the obvious "parts" for being an effective QB and being one... there's a disconnect.

Every time he's played in a real game competitive situation (UF '13, UGA, Bama) Nate has looked uncertain and panicky. Maybe it is confidence. Maybe nerves. Maybe something else. But Dobbs seems to elevate his game under pressure while Peterman appears to wilt.

Not taking up for pig, he can fight his own battles. But, your simply wrong about Peterman not winning the backup or #2 spot. He most certainly did. Not just my opinion, it has been reported as such many times from the media. I just posted part of an article by Ryan Callahan from 24/7 sports that pretty much sums it up.

You are reduced to objecting to tangential opinions. Even then, you offered no evidence or proof for your hollow objections.

Only number four has any relevance. In this instance, you simply LIE about my claim.

I never claimed coaches never intended to RS Dobbs. WHY DO YOU LIE ABOUT THIS FACT???

I did claim Peterman won the #2 backup position based on performance. Where is your evidence I am wrong?

Oh, American Pig has never answered this that I know of so does anyone else know specifically when Peterman injured his hand vs UF? Oddly he started the game 1 for 5 with a pick then went 3 for 6 for the rest of the way to halftime. If he in fact broke his hand somewhere in there... it seems to have improved his completion %.

Funny though... looking back at that game then at his two appearances this year... the coaches either don't trust him to throw the ball downfield or he's afraid to do it. Almost all of his completions are within 5 yds of the LOS... for his career.

Exactly. I am thankful for each and every one of the young men on our football team including Nathan Peterman. And I desperately want to see him get better, I want to see ALL of them get better. But Nate isn't there yet and it isn't clear when he's gonna get there. But I hope its soon!

The QB situation all year has been fairly frustrating for a lot of us, but coupled with idiot incessant "the sky is green and you all are ignoring that fact" BS empty arguments just adds heavily on the frustration factor.












But, admittedly, it can be one funny as hell distraction too :crazy: And now back to your regularly scheduled FACT debate, you bunch of liars and pancaked losers.

That's not what that report said. You are reading that opinion into what he said.

They reported (as I have said numerous times here) that Dobbs had to regain his accuracy after gaining all of that weight and muscle. As we can clearly see, the sum of his skills are FAR greater than Peterman's even if you could somehow prove by passing drills in practice that NP was actually the more effective passer. Even if Peterman's passing effectiveness in his real game opportunities was equal to or better than Dobbs'... Dobbs brings more to the table and not just his ability to run. The players show confidence in him. He's cool headed whereas Nate appears to be anything but that. We know Josh is extremely intelligent... he makes mistakes but seldom repeats them. Peterman showed some of the same panickly decisions this year vs UGA and Bama that he showed vs UF last fall.

There's more to being a better QB than completing a higher % of passes in drill vs no defense.

Do you have another quote? Do you have one where a coach said "Nate has beat Josh out for the back up role" or "Nate is our 2nd best QB"?
