I think he will stay for 4 years.

Which means unless Nance is the back up next year Worley will have only one year as a starter and then we are back to a new unproven QB.

Now if Bray leaves after next year it's not as bad or if Nance is the back up and worley is able to redshirt again.

we will see.

I'm just asking what we gained as a team this year by blowing his redhsirt...

People who think that Worley will ever have a redshirt season must not pay attention to what Dooley has said. He doesnt care about redshirts so why would he do it after the fact. Plus isnt the word on the street that Nance is looking to go somewhere else.

The Worley experiment was a fail just admit it and move on. Same record if we had Simms playing the whole time.

No with him practicing for a couple weeks as the number 1 starter did a lot for his growth as a QB. Burning the redshirt shouldn't be a big deal because we need experience and depth at every position. DD knows he needs to win now and is playing players early for experience and depth. The next two recruiting classes hopefully a better percentage will have time to learn behind our current sophomores and freshman.

I agree. In hindsight it was silly to put the best player on the field. We would have been much better off just giving up and mailing it in. Maybe then we could have lost the games AND lost the team.

He gained good quality SEC football experience, against good teams too. Thats a lot to gain for him! Plus he showed that next year if bray goes down(I hope to god that doesn't happen) that Worley can come in and run this offense. Next year he should be better to! To me that exciting!

I agree he was losing the team GA but don't you think when Bray came back the team would have united then anyways?

It amazes that anyone that has watched a Simms-led UT team over the past two years could be serious about him deserving the starting job.

Before anyone says it, I know... great kid, VFL, warrior.

He is as incapable as almost any other UT QB I've witnessed in my lifetime.

We still don't know if Bray is going to be effective though. There's too much at stake to ever give up on a season.

Hmmmmm out of conference < USC,ARK! Not even remotely close, at least he knows what it takes to succeed in the SEC and can push himself harder in practice

There's a game Saturday against a team we detest with a shot at a bowl berth on the line. Bray isn't guaranteed to start; he isn't guaranteed to play well once he gets out there. We're a lot more prepared for that now than we would be if all we had to go to was Matt Simms.

You play to win games now. It would be stupid to not put your best players on the field because of some hypothetical situation in freaking 2015.

Since we didn't expect to win the SEC this year anyway, it was obviously a mistake not to redshirt Maggitt and AJ Johnson and Arnett and every other true freshman we've played this year. Imagine what a juggernaut we'd have in 2015 if we could have all those guys back for another yet.

in some aspects yes. in others no.

pilots run simulators all day long before every going into a real life combat scenerio.

i think if a simulator is ok before life or death missions than a c rated team would be good enough for a qb before a sec team.

just saying.
