Buddy Green

Sounds eerily similar to the rationale we used after the CDD hire. I'm a Dooley fan and hope he succeeds but we're beginning year three of the CDD experiment and we do not have an additional three years for the Buddy Green experiment. I don't think this in any way an upgrade over Wilcox which is what we must have to continue to progress.

i agree. this would be horrible for UT football.

please merge if necessary. I didn't see it poseted elsewhere, but SIAP.

This was from Chuck Oliver, a radio guy in ATL about 50 minutes ago.

Bama keeps Sunseri? Dooley/Vols could announce as soon as tomorrow that Buddy Green from Navy is the hire for DC. Tracking details on this

No Serta is safe if this happens!:eek:lol:

final nail in dooley's coffin.
Why? Because you don't know who he is and don't like him? Sure, that is going to fly.

Bottom line...coaching is not rocket science. Give a good football mind some talent and he will get the job done.

you mean like Dave Clawson? dudes IQ was off the chart, but could not translate to the field.

Still blame Clawson on 2 things: 1) Degraded offensive talent vs. SEC defenses. 2) Fulmer interfering.

the guy was uber smart. i do believe he didn't have the talent, but recognizing that you need to dumb down your offense is important. Wilcox did that with his defensive schemes.

Your to kind. Green isnt even in the same league as Wilcox. This might be an upgrade for Austin P or UTM.

I'm sorry, but if the dc of the 80 something ranked d in the country and I don't care where it is,is the best we can do,It's pathetic. With the resources we have.

final nail in dooley's coffin if true.

Yall just keep hitting new lows. Last time I checked we had over six months and 12 football games to be played before any determination was made on Dooley's future.

Nail in his coffin...give me a break.

Reading some of your posts, you seem to like Green. Why does he impress you? Honestly I don't know much about him.

With Google, no one should be "in the dark" about any of these coaches. I get sick of all the negativity on her from people that don't even take the time to do any research. Even though Green may not have a "glamorous" name in the coaching ranks, apparently the guy is a seasoned DC and has been very successful in his tenure at Navy: THis from the Washington Post Sports Page :

Green has been the Midshipmen’s defensive coordinator for 10 seasons, during which he twice was nominated for the Frank Broyles Award presented to the country’s top assistant coach of the year.

Buddy Green is a joke dude.I seen his teams and they were pathetic.keep dreaming that this would even be a decent hire.If DD picked him over CLT and if I was LT Id tell Dooley where he can stick his sinking ship.

oh and far as the checkbook goes, you get what you pay for.

The joke is that you "seen" his teams. It is evident that your checkbook didn't do you justice in the education department. :eek:lol:

I need to change my user's name. It needs to be 'LookinDown'. I guess thats how you would spell it. Since we are spell checking is r-e-v-o-l-t the correct way to spell revolt?

Edit: Yes it is. I just looked up the definition and it says, revolt: What Tennessee fans do when they are fed up with lame coaching and/or lower tier coaching hires.

Yes, I can do research and know of his past, although not much, from reading about him since his name has surfaced. But I wanted his opinion, that's all. I could care less about a 'glamorous' name.
