Thank you! Takes a big man to fess up. Yeah, Randy been pulling that one for some time now. I watched him do it over at Arky so I had a hunch where we were headed with him. We will get someone good!

Exactly. Greene would bring some much needed discipline and fundamentals to our team. Maybe he can put them through a wknd SEALs course or something. That would some sick summer 2 a-days.

I hope your right buddy. I'm liking the thought of Sunseri and Green. Plus if we can land the Guy from SD as ST we will have improved our staff then hopefully land a top flight OL coach. Dooleys future could hinge on these hires.

Haha your exactly right. Discipline and fundamentals have lacked under DD guidance.They definitely need some tough love and not constantly thrown under the bus by their HC.

Very true. I think he has to much on his plate and discipline and fundamentals have been ignored. Imo That's my problem with Chaney. He seems like wants to be that "cool" coach. I don't see cdd throwing his guys under the bus as everyone else does. He speaks the truth and these kids r just to pampered now a days to accept it. IMHO that's all...

I hope you are right, because he has not done anything that would make me think he should be our DC imo. He improved NC STATE'S defense from 28th to 20th ppg which is good not great. He just seems to do good enough to keep getting jobs, but not elite ones imo.

Honestly my biggest problem is calling out players through the media. I'm all for
getting in their asses and using it for
motivation but do it one on one. I agree with you about Chaney as well. I'm by no means a coach but he did call some aweful games in particular the UK game and when Worley started he put his true FR in some bad situations for a first time starter jmo.

As for for Chaney I was talking more about his behavior of trying to be a cool coach. Trying to be "one of the guys" type.

I agree with you some on CDD calling them out in the media. But that's his style, and kids coming in will now know it. Calling them out behind closed doors vs calling them out in the media is no different. They need to grow up, take it, and learn from it. He's not letting out personal info he's just saying that they played like crap which they did. A lot of the problems we have are straight up their fault on the field. Dooley will take it when it's his fault, but if in practice they catch every pass and in the game they drop every one of them then who's fault is that? Just think he gets a worse rep then he should. Not saying he doesnt desrve some but not as much as he is getting for it. IMHO thats all from what I see from being on the outside.

Take for example the recent Greg McElroy statement about the Jets locker room. He got murder for that, and imo not deserving. He said something that was true, and the people that are pissed about it are the ones that he was speaking about. I guarantee there are a couple solid guys on the team that were ok with it, because its true and they to are tired of it. May not come out and support him to the media, but that's the way our society is today. He got hung as if he was the guy that released the photo of Rex Ryan's freaky deaky wife...

These kids need to learn to take criticism from all angles otherwise it would be a disservice. IMHO thats all...

I understand your worries. Probably wont happen, but wouldn't be the end of the world if he does imo. I'll be real happy if he ends up on our staff thats for sure.

Whoever it is, like any person I will give them a chance. He can just make it easier on me by hiring who I tell him to though.:)

I think Buddy Green may be the backup plan. If Sunseri goes back to Bama speaks to Satan, gets a raise, and his family wants to stay in Tuscaloosa for his son, then Buddy will be the DC. I am not sure how I feel about that hire. I would prefer he come aboard as a position coach or even CO DC with Sunseri.

Which is the important part. Green may not be a splash hire, but I don't think he has a problem with coaching. He can coach up some avg sized guys to go out and play hard. Thats what we need.

Like someone else said he may be a back up plan for Sunsari, which I won't be heart broken about it. I hope to get both at this pt. I'm sure you give Greene a couple seasons under Sunsari, and it will be between CLT and Greene for the DC job once Sunsari gets his HC chance. That would be some good stability that we need. just IMHO thats all...

I'll give him a chance. Experienced DC. Decent results with less than stellar talent. Had a rough year last year but improved towards the end. Fans seem to think he's an asset. May be better than inexperienced higher profile coach.
