Sorry, Page Not Found | NCAA.com

Quadrant 1: Home 1-30; Neutral 1-50; Away 1-75
Quadrant 2: Home 31-75; Neutral 51-100; Away 76-135
Quadrant 3: Home 76-160; Neutral 101-200; Away 136-240
Quadrant 4: Home 161-plus; Neutral 201-plus; Away 241-plus.

UCF has a projected rpi of 65, St. John’s is 74 fwiw

Thanks

Were those 2 true road games or neutral?

So SOS is totally bogus yet it’s one of the few tools the committee consistently uses, interesting.

So since the committee uses it, it's a well crafted metric? There are ways to game SOS just like RPI. It's useful, but you have to incorporate some critical thinking as well to get a full picture.

Thanks

St John’s was neutral. So it’s not tier one.

Their lone tier one win is at #58 (and dropping) UCF :eek:lol:

So we started out with two top 50 RPI wins. False

Then it was two top tier wins. False.

All anyone would have to do is look at their schedule/results to see they aren’t any good.

I think SOS is a huge stat I just think the only thing that matters with it is end of year not present day

Mizzu will be solid on that stat

SOS is the major component of the RPI, so both kind of go hand in hand.

I’m not saying it doesn’t have its flaws, so does the RPI, but there’s a reason Pearl swore by Tony Jones as his schedule guru because he was a master at manipulating the SOS/RPI which is a metric you want in your favor come March.

.

And dropping? Talk about false...lol

They’re winners of 7 of their last 8 and are set to return their best player in the next few days who they’ve been without all season

I don’t even feel like we played particularly well. KY just played really bad in the 2nd half.

We are a good passing team, hustled way more than KY and shot more free throws, ultimately leading to victory.

My favorite part of the game was the layup Daniel passed up at the end to give Admiral a statement dunk.

When we do that, we play much better. I'd like to see all of the extreme stats... like number of passes per possession. Point differential per player during their minutes.

Expected SOS of 34, Tennessee expected SOS of 21...maybe I should be hyping up Auburn’s SOS of 76

I am saying it will be dropping which it will.

False is the bs stats you were using to prop up your favorite coach.

“Two top 50 wins.” False

“Two tier 1 wins.” False

Favorite coach? Says the guy on a 10 page rant defending Pearl to his death, get real.

It might, but not likely out of the Top 75 which for the sake of this discussion is all that matters.

“Didn’t say Barnes era”- False

Part of Barnes inspire had to be he was 0 and 2. 0 and 3 is a deep hole. Great game, and flashes of greatness, but let's also admit KY was a MASH unit as well, and the loss of their court leaders was obvious. They couldn't function. This won't happen at Rupp.

Gabriel fouled out and Washington was out with cramps last 10 minutes...

Bone had flu and gave us about 8 minutes, Bowden was limited also with the flu...

It’s not as if they were short 5 guys and we were full strength

Didn't we only go like 6-7 deep?

Except we were.

Vanderbilt, Baker, and Wynard were all out for injury. Two of those have been hurt all year. Wynard has had extremely limited PT, but he at least might have been an option with the foul trouble. Hamidou Diallo, Killeya-Jones, and Richards all were dealing with the flu. Probably wouldn't be playing if we didn't already have a limited bench.

10 page rant? Hardly. You need to switch to 50 posts per page if it’s anything close to that.

Any way you slice it, Missouri’s best win is at 58 UCF. That’s hilarious. And if they are giving that much credit for top 75 wins then you’re gonna need more than one in non conference play to impress. I’m sure the committee can tell the difference in beating UK at home versus beating UCF on the road. So it might be tier one or whatever it’s called but it’s not the same.

Nice job scheduling an away game with a team likely to finish 60-75. Very cuonzo like.

Top 20 SOS and a good RPI and yet their best win is at UCF. That’s why you have to use your brain and can’t just use stats and formulas. Missouri will continue to drop as we move forward.

Vanderbilt has been out all year, as has Baker, no?

We had at least 3 wth the flu also?

How many scholarship players played double digit minutes for UK? 8. How many did Tennessee have? 7. STFU!

It’s funny you’re criticizing Martin for this yet I’m sure applauded Pearl and Tony Jones for annually manipulating the RPI and SOS.

It will take care of itself, either Missouri will add some top 50-75 wins in conference or they’re gonna lose a whole bunch of games and won’t be in the discussion anyhow.
