Heard per Hubbs on Sunday Sports Extra that they are expecting just a one game suspension but at the max he could miss 2 games....If they decide they want to suspend him
I would have guessed a game or two, but the NCAA doesn't typically suspend for a game or two. That is usually the type of punishment levied by the institution (UT) for a team violation. I honestly think the ruling is that he is ineligible until he repays the amount and from that he's ineligible until the NCAA says he eligible.
The conditions will be set based on which rule was violated and the severity of the violation. Such conditions may include repayment of money or sitting out of competition for a specified number of games, or both.
What if the rule was concerning an agent?
Wasn't Butler, at least verbally, shopping Bryce to the Canadian Football League?
Since none of the other players on that sophomore trip are being investigated (afaik), I'm wondering if that trip is the issue.
I honestly think the ruling is that he is ineligible. I mean think about it. How can you lose your amateur status and the regain it by paying back the money? You are either an amateur or you are a professional. I hope I am wrong about this but everyone is being was to quiet about what the NCAA has said of their ruling? If this is truly an issue of his amateur status there is no gray area. You cant be an amateur one day then lose it and get it back just by paying the money back. There is more to this than we know!<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comffice

I thought that the NCAA already ruled a 1 game suspension and restitution. At this point the university is appealing that decision.
Why would BB end up being suspended 2 games or more. I really doubt the NCAA would add to the suspension because UT appealed it.
