Bryce Brown Gone

Folks aren't writing Dooley off for not having PR campaigns.

He came with a bad track record in a bad conference and keeps stumbling on the basics.... like this.

Loses the only recruit we had from 2011, kicks Eric Berry off the field, loses the top recruit in the nation and probably the most talented player on the current team...

Just thought... JJ's the main competitor to BB for 'most talented'... somebody should tell CDD to try to keep him since he probably has no idea who he is either.
B.S. Never happened. Can you read? Or do you just run with half truths, rumors, and outright lies?

I've found Wes Rucker to be a solid source of news and opinions, and per his twitter Brown was promised some things during his recruitment and was unhappy to start behind Hardesty last year. Says he doesn't understand why people are blaming DD for this, as most likely only Kiffin could have convinced him to stay.

Perhaps BB has been seeing more competition at the starting job than he is comfortable with?

Exactly.

No? Outside of Ohio, Memphis, WKU, and one carry against USC BB rushed 65 times for 208 yards- a whopping 3.2 ypc.

OK. You got it. Stats don't lie. BB had one effective play against a credible defense all year long.

I'm not trying to run the kid down... just prove how foolish it is to talk like he was a finished product. He wasn't and he might have never developed those skills.

MOST of the #1 players showed flashes in their Fr year. Brown really didn't.

He still out performed Hardesty. Should I go back and take away all of Hardesty's stats that didn't come against UF, Bama, or UGA from his first three full seasons?
Also, who has said he is a finished product?

I pretty much think Dooley sux and that Hamilton should be fired for hiring him.

You need more evidence to get where I've been. Unfortunately for both of us as Vols' fans... it's coming.

Nice to see you are overlooking being called out for making up stats in the WKU game. As far as I'm concerned, all of your stats are worthless.

oh and X had a better record coming to UT. Oh wow we lose 1 recruit, how many did x lose? There was a reason why EB was kicked off the field, it wasn't because he was being rude, he was basically setting a new tone for the program. Instead of running his mouth like x he is just doing things quietly. He hasn't even coached a game and we are already jumping on him. I remember last year everyone was saying x was the 2nd coming of jesus when he got here. Give CDD the same respect you gave X.

WOW. I just don't have the words...this post is a real jewel. I have read it 4 times now and still don't understand where the truth is in any of your points.

did f1j1vol72 also profess his undying love for Fulmer and his excellent coaching? Don't remember that

Very funny... :dance2:

It actually adds credibility to my criticism of Dooley and Hamilton. I also like Kiffin and thought Hamilton's timing on Fulmer was about right.

Btw... I still appreciate what Fulmer did for the program. It just went on too long. I also think he's a better coach than Dooley.

Yes they are. Bloodrunzorange and fijivol major on it. And that's also not the only reason as I mentioned.

He came with a bad track record in a bad conference and keeps stumbling on the basics.... like this.
The first part is pretty much true. I've said numerous times he was down the list and a high risk hire. Hamilton apparently thought he had high reward potential too. I don't know enough to make a conclusion yet.

On the second part, we don't know the situation. What should come first for Dooley? Convince Brown to stay regardless of his personal situation?

I'm not dismissing the possibility that Brown doesn't like the staff. I'm just not willing to massage conjecture into conclusions like some apparently are.

Loses the only recruit we had from 2011,
Everyone pretty much agreed that this was a miscommunication between the kid and his coach.
kicks Eric Berry off the field,
Never happened. Check your facts before using falsehoods to draw conclusions.

I don't want to lose Brown. He looks like a kid with potential but he didn't show that he was the most talented player on the team with his play last year nor that he deserved the #1 ranking. Could have been injuries or just adjusting to the game... but he didn't show it.

Furthermore, there's no evidence that Dooley lost him... at least not yet. His departure may be temporary and it may be for reasons that have nothing to do with football or it may be because he doesn't like UT or the new staff. We just don't know yet.

Just thought... JJ's the main competitor to BB for 'most talented'... somebody should tell CDD to try to keep him since he probably has no idea who he is either.

Yeah... maybe someone should get their facts straight and wait for the facts before drawing conclusions too, huh?

no it means you have no clue when it comes to coaching. You admitted quite a few times that Fulmer just needed more time and now you won't even give DD any? Yeah that's credible

You ar enot counting the fact that Hardesty had multpile injuries which could have been carrier ending and then produces as one of the best backs in the nation his senior year. What ifs ar eeasy but you canot compare?

Just for kicks and giggles. Please provide those stats. I would be very interested in seeing.

Holy crap, are you being serious?? Just for kicks and giggles, here are some stats for your perusal. Look at the yardage totals for each of Hardesty's first 4 seasons. 384 yards was his career high before his senior year. Bryce had 460 as a frosh. Good enough for you?

Even worse, I'd rather have Fulmer than DD.

However, I'd rather have DD as AD than MH.

It's all logical.

Too bad, had high hopes for him. Rumors about his leaving have been going around for a long time. If hes that unhappy, he needs to go somewhere else. Hard to know DD role in all this. We will have to wait until December to know what to make of DD. Total BS until then.

He still out performed Hardesty.
Who? Brown? That is pure and total delusion my friend. There was absolutely no comparison. Kiffin did his best to give Brown the job over Hardesty and just couldn't do it.
Should I go back and take away all of Hardesty's stats that didn't come against UF, Bama, or UGA from his first three full seasons?
Be my guest. No one was claiming that MH was a single player that would make or break the program. No one was condeming the coach as a failure... not even Fulmer... because Hardesty wasn't producing even though that would have been a far more rational conclusion than the ones being made concerning DD on this.
Also, who has said he is a finished product?

If that isn't what some of you think then why do you continue to dispute the simple things I'm saying about him. I've simply said that he may become great but last year he didn't show the skills that make a great SEC back. Sorry if that stings you at some point but it is still true.
