Bryce Brown Gone

Dooley is horrible for the program and going to set us back even farther. Wtf is he doing? And wtf is this 2 and 3 te every play bs? Say hello to another 3 or more years of middle of the pack play.

I think you and fijivol should maybe read back through the thread. Supposedly Brown is dealing with some family issues. IF he's leaving it may or may not have anything to do with Dooley.

We'll see about that when we finish in the bottom quadrant of the SEC in rushing.

You are trying way to hard to press your point right now, Bryce showed nothing last year that would indicate he is going to dominate in this league, in fact most people have been saying at best he would share equal carries. People need to relax.

Does it bother anyone else that 1.) CDD talked to BB on several occasions and had no inkling about this happening? 2.) CDD apparently doesn't remember talking to Brandon Warren and his family about returning to the team? 3.) CDD let the whole " former players aren't allowed at workouts/Berry" saga get out of hand?

not sure any of those actually happened

A heck of a lot more then he got, Chris Lowe reported a while back that he had talked to several UT players and they said they thought Poole was the second best running back on the team to Hardesty. Yet Oku was put in the game in every instance before him...Poole got screwed.

Who cares who we hired at HC then? By this logic, maybe we should just let the players make all the depth chart calls from now on.

Or wake from their sleep?

The guy was the best recruit in the nation just a year ago. He was Frosh who played extremely well behind a line with no talent while battling an injury and showing nothing but the most professional attitude a player could have.

We lost a great one here.

4.6 yards/att for a true freshman is more than nothing.

It has nothing to do with Dooley, if he was leaving after spring practice maybe it could have been attributed to Dooley. With this timing though it is obviously something else, obvious to anyone with a brain at least (not meaning you).

Blind faith has apparently become this fan base's MO.

I don't have blind faith in Dooley...

I don't have blind faith in Brown...

I don't have blind faith in Poole or Oku...

I didn't have blind faith in Kiffin when there was a thread talking about him proving himself....

I have to be convinced. I hope Dooley does well. He needs a chance before I'm willing to write him off or declare him a success.

Blindness seems to cut both ways just as sharp. Some have jumped on the bandwagon even to the point of denying the coaching talents of CLK and CMK. That's foolish. Some have written Dooley off because he doesn't run PR campaigns and for various other things that haven't proven out yet... That is just as blind and foolish.

I think what a lot of people on here are TRYING to say is that regardless of whether BB stays or goes, Vol football will carry on and they are not going to let it affect their optimism for the upcoming season and beyond. Will BB leaving impact the team? Of course it will. Whether it be for better or worse, it WILL have an impact.

Just remember this, Jamal Lewis had a season ending injury early in the 98 season. At the time he was considered one of the best RB's in the country. This definitely had an impact on our team. How? The team came together and went on to win a NC is all. Now, would they have won it if JL had remained healthy? Who knows but I'm just saying you never know what will happen that might unite a team or strengthen them. We may have been weakened at that position but it probably strengthened the team as a whole.

I don't know, I'm just trying to stay positive is all.
