Bryce Brown Gone

There's a difference between saying that if he doesn't buy in to the new staff/schemes then he might as well not even be here. And saying "if he don't bleed oraynge, f em" I agree with that alone fiji.- the fact that "screw em he don't luv UT" is a popular mindset. However, if he's not sold out for the team, he's useless.

It's not blind loyalty.

Some people are rational enough not to be ready to push the panic button several months before the season even starts.

Or at least 3 years. If we don't see some progress in 3 years, then we have issues. Until then, sit back and let the man attempt to right the ship.

No way he gets three years unless there is major improvement each of the first two. Just don't see MH or DD survive 6-6, 7-5 or worse.

Yeh, I think many understand it. Its just that many still don't. LOL oh well. At least there's some sense around here. On a bad note- SDSU on a 12-4 run.

With a bare cupboard, it may be tough to win 7 games next year. Hopefully, UT at least upsets someone good.

Wow, some people on here need to chill. Both the dooley haters and those criticizing a young man. Young men make mistakes, can most of you think back to when you were his age what you were doing? Did you have the eyes of an entire community like the Vol fathful on your every move? And he said apparently it stems from an ongoing problem 6 months in the making. Perhaps TN just isnt the place for him. If it does go back 6 months then that even includes Kiffin and his shenanigans. Just let the young man work it out for himself. If he thinks its a mistake to have came here, then so be it. And Dooley is doing all he can the way he knows how. To judge him by his record at LA Tech is just redicilious. He had alot to overcome while there, as well as working as the AD for some time while there too. Can you imagine the pressure of being the HC and AD at the same time? You have to work your tail off to pull it off and be successful. Give it time and lets see how it works out before we immediatly react violently and negatively. Lets just support the program and the players that are here now. Thats the only way we will make progress is by moving forward, not sitting still and questioning what to do next.

Its in the valleys and monumental struggles that our ugliest traits reveal themselves. I can't get the picture of the redbird in the bed of the truck throwing bottles with flaming mattresses and countless carhart clad mobsters out of my head. The reaction to news and rumors alike by many is unbelievable sometimes. What's funny is no one (def not the accused posters) even has an iota of accurate info or any details regarding a given situation. Whatevers going on with BB, it is what it is. I'm not gonna curse a 19 year old regardless of anything he may have done. (Short of harming my family or son) Take a strong dose of reality people, gheez! In no way does this drastically change anything about next year. The only thing certain that will come from this, assuming its true, is our RB depth chart will be - 1. Its a tough stretch we find ourselves in, but 1 thing is for certain; WE WILL PERSERVERE,and WE WILL GET BACK! Stand strong VolNation, We...........Shall...........Overcome..........

Unfortunatley, I understand that.

I agree with the rest.

Does a 17-20 record need justification to qualify as suckitude?
Really, we'll be alright. Dewlee is familiar with our terdishuns and speaks "southern English."

Was that 17-20 record at Tennessee?

Do you use "suckitude, Dewlee and terdishuns" in your everyday adult conversations?

If Bryce Brown goes to USC, I will personally head to their practice next year to boo him. Actually, I might anyways to book Kififn. They deserve each other.

Going way to far without actually understanding the situation.

No. It was in a league with far less competition.

And DD didn't have the talent, facilities or resources he does now.

This argument has been "done to death".

All I meant by my original post in this thread was: Unlike some, I won't wish failure on this football program just so I can say "I told you so".

Just like some of us won't pretend we like the hire to make ourselves feel better.

You're saying that he had nothing to do with this? He needs to be out there getting players to win with....including the ones on the roster.

Brown was Kiffin's player, not Dooley's. Brown came her because of Kiffin, now Brown has a bunch of **** going on back at home and has no reason to stay here. Dooley has no leverage in this situation to try and convince Brown to stay. This happens all the time in coaching changes, and it will happen again on this team I'm sure. You have to just accept it, and not ***** about every little thing.

DD is a first rate goob. Mike H should be ashamed of this hire. I fear we are entering our Mike faze. As in the Mike faze Alabubba faced recently. It's going to be a long few years until we fire him and start looking for the replacement.

I guess when people do a poor job in business, they should get big promotions to see how they do with more opportunities.

Evidently someone thought so.

Just like some of us won't pretend we like the hire to make ourselves feel better.

I never said I liked the hire. I'm just not going to waste my energy refusing to believe it can't be done... and spend the next 5 plus months being negative.
