don't see him redshirting - more like starting by Fl. game. I like Poole but feel BB is far better back. There is the problem, Poole has worked hard, but does not the coach need to do what helps the whole team win, hope Poole and the others can handle that.

I'm not convinced of that. I would love to see them go at it and compete during camp and both get the same opportunity and see who wins the job. I think we would all like to see that. So far, that hasn't happened, IMO.

I hope he leaves UT for good

Why? Because he was unsure about being on the team after the head coach left?

He hasn't ran his mouth or anything. He's dealing with a lot of pressure from his dad looks like. I welcome him back with open arms. I hope he realizes that there isn't really a better opportunity out there. Sit a year and then go to KSU? :ermm: Sit and year and go to a sanctioned USC to play alongside Baxter? Play in division II? Come back home Bryce.

Poole was given plenty of opportunities last year in fall practice but fumbled them away. You can't play tailbacks that consistently put the ball on the ground. That is what he did last year in practice and that is why he didn't play.

The animosity some of the fans have towards this kid is unbelievable. He hasn't run his mouth one bit, he's been pulled by different people in different directions and clearly has a lot of pressure on him.

You and I have been disagreeing a lot lately. What's up with that? :) You could be right. I have just never felt like Poole was given the same opportunity because Kiffin was clearly zeroed in on BB from the start. Not saying that's a bad thing for recruiting purposes and the fact BB has plenty of talent, but I still don't believe Kiffin went into camp with an open mind and didn't have favorites.

Would fans prefer a kid who spent the summer with family, or a talented kid out drinking at a bar past midnight?

Good point. Since I see some of the same people getting all over Brown, yet defending the drinkers and fighters at Bar Knoxville, I'd say they'd prefer the latter.

I just dont get all the hate and animosity directed towards this kid from so many fans.

I'm not saying there wasn't some of that going on from Kiffin. But Poole did get plenty of reps in fall practice, especially early on, and really struggled holding on to the football.

Let's also point out that the talented kid was with his team all summer and hasn't missed one practice or workout. Still I hope Brown comes back we could use him!

You can say anything you want about Kiffin, it's usually correct, but you can bet your bottom dollar he will play the best players on the field. There is no doubt in my mind that if a kid was named Osama Bin Ladin Jr., but was better than anyone else on the roster at that position, he would start.

He might have showed BB more love than any of the rest not named Montario Hardesty, but the best players will play, period.

Tauren Poole was not at the Bar Brawl, so whoever insinuated that he was your sir are incorrect. Tauren is the model student athlete, GREAT grades, does not drink and always has his nose to the grindstone.
