don't think we are interested in Arthur...

Our coaches have not spoken with them since end of May. Bryce is returning to visit with friends prior to starting school. been planned since early June.

I would be surprised if Bryce is returning to talk to our coaches about remaining at UT. As of 3 weeks ago, if he did want to return we would not say an immediate no. I'm sure we would listen if he is interested in talking.

I'm not sure once CDD laid out what he would have to do to return to team that he would still want to return. He would start out behind Neal on depth chart. I'm sure he would also have a LOT of running and other assorted activities to do to get back in good graces with staff and team. I just think in the end, he doesn't want to do that and goes on to KSU. And there may never be a conversation between BB and staff.

Having Bryce Brown on the Tennessee team is not going to change the outcomes of our seasons the next couple years. Would take a dozen Bryce Brown level players to make any difference.
i dont think he would stay down the depth chart for too long, if he has stayed in football shape. it isnt gonna change any outcome but we could definately use him, just the same.

If Bryce Brown wanted to be on the TN football TEAM then Bryce Brown should have been at spring practice working with the rest of the TN TEAM, he should be in Knoxville right now working out like the rest of the TN TEAM, he knows this, his father also knows this, anything is possible but I highly doubt he plays another snap for TN.

+1 :good!:

I know a month ago our feeling was we could not afford to "turn down a good player". Not sure that is still our position today though. That comment was in regard to Brown

op, if you own a business and an employee comes to you and says "I don't want to work for you anymore." If I then approached you and told you that your employee just quit would you say that it "makes no sense at all" ?

he played in every game last year. he played hurt. AND to lend this conversation some accuracy, if i just took over a company as Dooley did, and one of my employees wanted to leave, then i would do exactly as Dooley has done. i would tell him the door is open, but i would not beg him to come back. a butthurt business owner, with a struggling business, is nothing but fodder for a bankruptcy lawyer.

Isn't CDD in Hoover, AL for the next few days for SEC Media Days? I don't see how Brown could meet with him in Knoxville. Nevertheless, I assume he is coming to hang with some friends and not to meet with the staff.

Dooley doesn't go on until Friday, I don't know why he would be in Bham already.

He hasn't made it down there yet according to this.

HOOVER, Ala. — Derek Dooley still hasn’t even arrived at his first SEC football media days.

Slive says 'welcome' to Dooley and as for that other guy ... GoVolsXtra

What could you have expected the kid to do if this is all because of pressure his father has put on him? Yes, he's at the point in life where you're becoming a man, but a father can apply tremendous amounts of pressure. It doesn't mean that BB hasn't always been wanted to be here. Yes, it puts the team in a less than ideal position for the time being. But CDD has handled it well and most certainly hasn't wasted the time on the issue that many in these threads have.

very well said...completely agree:good!:

If you COULD care less, then just wait around. Very soon, you will not be able to care less.

:)....Sorry....one of my pet-peeves.

Score...one of my biggest pet peeves too. (I know a little late to quote, but I'm a little late to the party on this one.):bow2:

Dooley Won’t Re-Recruit Brown; Why Not? MrSEC.com

What do you all think should we try to keep Bryce?

Even though he is putting UT through the ringer right now, there is a talent level issue we are going through right now.

Personally without having a line of any great talent, I am willing to risk the bs that goes with the guy in order to have a back that can plow through the line and still have enough speed to evade a couple lb's.

A good running game is about the only way I see any of the qb's having any mediocre level of success in this league this year. Tauren Poole looks like a guy who can evade and Bryce looks like a guy who can punish. Just sayin'.:crossfingers:

The Bush events that got USC on probation didn't even begin until his sophomore year. It had nothing to do whatsoever with getting him to sign there. But why let facts get in the way of a good idiotic rant?

Hahahahahaha....:lolabove::post-4-1090547912::lolabove:

Don't encourage that moron. It doesn't even make sense.

It makes perfect sense -

I could care less = I could easily care less about the current topic. i.e. You still care about the topic.

I couldn't care less = I do not have the ability to care any less about the current topic. i.e. You no longer care about the topic

:eek:k:

the only reason I want BB to come back is to send a message to future recruits. Its basically like hes saying.. "at first I was unsure, but now that I know more about this staff, I really want to be here."

I wouldn't expect anything involving logic to make sense to you.

Well genius, the original post-
Heck yeah, everybody wants him back!!! He's a quitter. He quit on his team. He should have just changed his tampon and sucked it up. Is he really the running back you want to rely on when the game is on the line? The one who quits because his feelings are hurt.

I say if Kiffin and Orgeron got Brown to UT the same way they got Bush to USC then the kid needs to stay as far away from Rocky Top as possible. If you were his pops, would you still be mad about your income ceasing when Kiffin leaves town? I would.

Since you can't read I'll explain it you you. Regardless of where Brown was at the time it doesn't change the fact that Kiffin recruited Brown. And if he was recruited the same way then he doesn't want Brown.
I would like to point out I do not agree with the post at all though.

Of course I care about the topic. I wouldn't be in this thread if I didn't. I want Bryce Brown to continue to be a vol tremendously. :hi:

wow 2,700 posts... I'd say I'm not the only one who cares about this topic.
