James Bryant from InsideTennessee.com was on the sports monster yesterday morning. He said he understands there is an announcement coming from Brown on the 29th. Not sure where he is getting that, but that's what he said. He also said he expects him to transfer and gave it a 60% chance he goes to Kansas State and a 40% chance he goes to USC.

Wow.

I've heard he's announcing on the 29th, but this is the first I've heard about USC. He'll be in Knoxville tomorrow.

I could care less. We know he won't be playing this year. He won't have enough time to get in shape. Wherever he goes I hope it's a good fit and he succeeds. For his sake, I hope he handles future problems different than this one.

It sounds increasingly likely that Brown reached out to Chip Kelly recently. That may mean quite a lot, or it may mean nothing.

Like everyone else in this country who either lives outside of Eugene or is not on their knees under Phil Knights desk, it is impossible for me to care less about anything related to Oregon.

Seriously. You are of such complete irrelevance as to be unworthy of my compiling a wittier insult than that.

Always have been.

Always will be.

Ok, just to get keep moving to 2500 posts. . .

I'm curious why so many people think that where ever Brown ends up, that he'll show up out of shape and unable to play? Sure, he may be inelibible due to transfer rules but that doesn't necessarily mean he hasn't been working out. I've rarely met a college-level athlete who didn't work out routinely, why do so many on this board assume that he is just sitting around?

I'm sure he's probably working out and running some but there is a big difference between being in shape and being in football shape. I think most people are doubting he has the resources available to do the training required to get ready for season play...trainers, facilities, etc.

he and Bro are going to Kansas St. Been known for a while that is route they are headed. Both will sit this year and play in 2011.

I would be shocked if it ended up any other way..

I'm sorry but all of this smells. If he is transferring why hasn't he just done it already?
