I am a Dooley supporter and if he can pull this off I think he could reassure a lot of fans. I also don't have a problem with the package deal, we are well below the roster limit and have schollies to go around. Plus we need linebacker depth pretty badly, plus it would ensure us keeping the #1 rated recruit on team which always helps. Get this done Dooley.

The big question is, Why would Dooley agree to this? It seems antithetical to everything he has staked his name on since taking over the program. He's said he would not "re-recruit" Bryce, so why would he let Bryce return to school and bring his brother? Furthermore, would the team go for it? Dooley has said that the players would have to be willing to welcome Bryce back.

We're not buying. Based on the no-nonsense vibe that Dooley has given off, we just don't see this happening.

My coworker is a k-state alum. He said that the rumor is that they are going as a package to the highest bidder.

Supposedly Arthur had difficulty picking up complex defenses in college. Brown had trouble recognizing when the run was coming and when the pass was coming and was often slow to react.

Most people have said they'd take them on this thread...
I'm not just referencing this thread, this sentiment has been around ever since BB got hesitant after the coaching change.

who cares that he sat out spring ball as long as he comes back and helps us win ball games, isnt that what its about, winning games?

Taking BB could also impact recruiting, IMO it would turn away some of our RB recruits. IMO BB does not want to compete for the job.

From what I understand, their father wants the boys to play together and Arthur and Bryce want to play together, but Bryce isn't too fond of playing at K-State. This all leads to Bryce telling Dooley that he wants to come back, but would like Arthur to come along. If that can't happen then he will probably go to K-State to make his father happy. Their father probably would settle for them playing at UT but would be more likely to butt-in Which is probably what is making Dooley pause and look at this more than twice.

***** just me reading between the lines- no link, no proof, just gut. (and I've got plenty if that)

We should stop pandering to these kids. I have told my daughter (b-ball player) in the past, that a coaching change is just another challenge to make her stronger, both as a player and as a person. That should not change, whether you are a small time player or a big time national recruit.

I think this is completely up to the players and how they feel about it. I know DD will ask for their input. If it is OK with the team I have no problem with it. If is going to cause discontent, I am against it. JMO.

+2

I heard the dad was pushing for both to be scholarship players, but Dooley said no. I think it was Dooley was open to the idea of both attending, but at least Arthur had to start at the bottom and earn a scholarship. Can't remember if Bryce had to start over as well or not.

Tennesse fan writes on Bryce's wall: "Wished you would have stayed in Knoxville, good luck in Kansas, I will always root for ya!"

Bryce wrote on the guys wall: "Thanks man, I appreciate that."

Saw this on TOS

TOS looks like speculation... no recent updates.

Like here.. some think Brown should beg and plead for mercy from King Dooley.

Others think the King is playing it well and should keep his head high (as if we don't need them worse than they need us).

Doesn't appear to be as many Brown fans in the pay to read rumor crowd.

TOS lean seems to be towards negative on BB's return
But, there's also this ...

If it was over they would say its over. We thought is was over but then theres a meeting and they wont comment as to the purpose of the meeting or now say its still over.

They are considering UT as an option. Zero doubt in my mind about that. They may not in fact take it, but believe its in play for sure.
