you got merged.

Hopefully BB doesn't have the presser, hopefully its just released to the media that BB has decided to stay and will start summer workouts with the rest of the team.

BJ Coleman believed he was the best QB on the team. Does that make it true?

If playing Brown was all about recruiting, then why did Kiffin start Hardesty over him?

CLK did everything he could to give BB the #1 job... Don't you remember the practice reports? Brown just didn't have the skill to take it. Then he started the season as a "real" #2 RB... getting meaningful carries against meaningful opponents. He was ineffective so his meaningful carries diminished as the season went on. Why might that be? Could it be that BB just wasn't as ready to play CFB as his recruit ranking suggested?

Brown is a tremendous but RAW talent.

While you are at it explain this to me... when you've struggled to run the ball all day vs Va Tech then you put in your 3rd string back in the 3rd qtr who promptly finds holes your starter has been missing and runs through tackles that your future NFL draftee hasn't been.... He runs 3 times for 15 yards... why does he mysteriously disappear to the bench again?

Maybe it was just persona between Poole and Kiffin. But every indicator that came out says that he deserved more PT. Brown apparently deserved, and got, less.

This is probably what is happening...but it could also be a announcement that he has officially transferred...but I am guessing if they are making another announcement it is to say that he decided to stay, which to me is :good!:

Couldn't see him holding a presser to announce he's leaving. He was "leaving" months ago, this is probably telling fans, coaches, players he's sorry and ready to hit the field at UT

I wonder what he is going to announce?

Other questions I wonder about:

Who's going to be the number #1 NBA pick this year?
Are the Raiders going to make the Super Bowl?
Will HatVol start an "I Love Coach Dooley" thread today?
Sorry to inform you but hatvol has jumped ship to USC and will soon be known as uschat96.

I really and truly hope so. He has the potential to be a great back for someone.

It is really awkward to have to criticize the kid like I do sometimes... but some here operate under some kind of delusion that he's already proven he's heads and shoulders better than Poole. Some really go off the deep end and suggest he's proven that he's as good as the kid at Bama.

To date, neither Brown nor Poole has proven they're ready for primetime. Poole hasn't had the opportunity. Brown either due to injury or lack of readiness couldn't seize his. In his rare opportunities however Poole has shown flashes of the RB skills needed to be successful in the SEC.

If its true he plans to have a presser to announce his decision you can rest assured it wont be to announce he is staying.

1) you dont call a press conference to announce youre still enrolled and playing for the same team unless you a high profile jr/sr considering entering the draft.
2) he would be breaking the rule on UT players (underclassmen) talking to the media. Of course if youre no longer a Vol, the rule doesn't apply. DD wouldn't let him "showboat" and have a presser and draw attention to himself vs the team like that.

God luck Mr Brown.

I don't claim to know what he will do but your points don't hold.

1) His decision will be news in K'ville regardless. It will give him an opportunity to explain which I'm sure he wants to do.

2) He's no longer a Freshman. He can speak to the press. Hughes, Teague, Jackson, and probably others were interviewed this spring IIRC. Even for freshmen that rule isn't written in stone.

BB hasn't done much the "normal" way (his recruitment & his current situation)....so you really can't use what other players have done in the past to guess what BB will do.

I heard on Big Orange Sunday that odds are better than 50/50 that BB is staying. He wants to stay, CDD will take him back, and the players are OK with him coming back. The father has backed off his wish for BB to transfer to Kansas State. Also, Brown's brother has not transferred to Kansas State. He will be playing Juco in Kansas somewhere.

Arthur Brown has already used up two years of eligibility at Miami. How is it he is playing JUCO?

BB's presser should be televised, at least in the state so Vol fans can find out what's going on.

It's Arthur Sr's ineligiblilty not Jr's eligibility that worries me. Seems he's the main reason BB is sitting out.

Give me a break. If Kiffin wanted Brown to be the starter, he would have been. Who was going to stop him? He was the head coach. Hell, with your omniscience, I'm surprised Kiffin didn't start Darren Myles instead of Eric Berry.

When you average nearly 5 yards per carry as a true freshman in the SEC with 2 walk ons starting on the line and a RS Fr converted tightend you are ready for college football imo.
