Will Bryce Brown return to play (be listed on a gameday roster) for Tennessee?

they (Brown's) were interested in both playing at Tennessee and it was discussed in May.

The position coach didn't feel he brought value to the team.

I'm guessing, if they didn't feel he brought any value why risk the disruptions a player may cause if he ended up not playing?? He has already left one team due to not playing.

Have you got any idea what is coming out of this meeting? Or if there is even one scheduled?

I've seen talk of one being scheduled as early as today. based on what I'm hearing, expecting BB to ask for release to go to Kansas St and expected to give it to him.

Buddy in Knoxville just texted me rhat he has now heard that BB is now asking to stay with team. Anyone hearing this on local radio/news?

I'm not sure that BB would be able to contribute much this season (or his brother for that matter) anyway. Neither has practiced with the team at all, and apparently BB is not in playing shape anymore.

So even if BB or his bro decided to play here, it probably wouldn't have a big impact on the season.

Been listening to local sports talk all day, and that is polar opposite as to what has been said. Take that for what it is worth, though.

I've seen many rumors to about that but not from anyone "close" to program or in media...

I certainly think it would help for 2011 and beyond to have him back.

I still think he can contribute in 2010. He's a football player. Not in the greatest of shape, but still can get back in shape before the season starts in my opinion (if he works really hard).

Basilio's blog this a.m. indicates BB is asking to stay with the team and that the upperclassmen on the team may be OK with that. We'll see.

Does anyone know for a fact that BB is out of shape? I realize he may not be what he could have been working with Wylie all summer... OTOH, he possesses ELITE natural gifts.

he has been working out but I would be surprised if he is in game shape. If he returns he will have enough running to do to earn back team's respect that he will be in shape by start of season.

Bennie and he will become best friends during August.

I tend to think he "should" stay so I tend to be a little more optimistic that he will.

I think if he's evaluated the situation for his long term best then he'll stay unless there's just something incredible that we know nothing about.

I think there are all kinds of rumors and no one really knows what is going to happen.
