BB: I want a release.
DD: Why?
BB: Because the coach I came to play for left.
DD: You didn't come to to play for TN
BB: No. I could care less about TN. (Looks down at a crumbled picture of Lane he is holding in his hand) I liked Kiffin. Only reason I came.
DD: I'm not sure how I should take this.
BB: I ... (tears begin to roll down his face) I just miss him so bad. How could he do this to me? To SGM? To Hat? To all of us? I thought he cared.
DD: I'm sorry. Sometimes in a relationship one person no longer cares the same way about the other person. I know it hurts son. He was more to you guys than just a coach. But life will go on.
BB: Are you sure? (completely crying now, slumped over)
DD: Yes. Yes it will. Now get the F out of my office. And go grow a pair.

How can you not want this beast on TN's team.

Dooley will meet Bryce Brown on Monday. Bryce will likely have an announcement shortly after the meeting.

UT’s Brown To Meet With Dooley On Monday MrSEC.com

Go to VN front page and read GVX article " Dooley comes ready to answer questions at SEC....". DD says repeatedly he expects meeting to be for BB to ask for his release. Also repeatedly says BB is not part of the team!

How do the chances of B.B. staying with Tennessee look right now? I get the impression that we have only a low chance by the recent posts in this thread. And if B.B. leaves then does he have to take a year off - is that how it works? I apologize for the potentially obvious answers to my questions, but I have been away from Vol news for quite a while and I am completely in the dark with all this mess.

He's carrying the ball to low , lol and as the great jay Graham once told me, always keep the ball "high and tight". But while he would hv to earn his teams trust and respect back, if they want him back, I would love to see him in orange next season.

That was his first ever collegiate game though, I am sure he would have corrected it. Plus your arms are gonna dip when making a big cut, such as the one he is making in that pic :p

I hope they don't release him. He deserves to have to sit out a year and wait at this point.

My understanding is that he'd still have to sit out a year.

I had heard the meeting was today, but I guess it's Monday.

Sitting out a year to play at Kansas State. I wish him nothing but the best but I just don't get it. Then again, maybe he does to go to USC.

If you have ever been to Manhatten Ks, as I have, and ever been to a KSU game, as I have.....then this whole Bryce Brown saga would be even more of a head scratcher, as it is for me.

Dooley also said that he has not talked with BB, which means there is no new news as he knows it. If he worked out with the team, then more than likely he is wanting to come back. Dooley will not beg him, even though he needs bodies at this point. Brice Brown will have to want to come back, and earn his way up the depth chart, and any punishment (extra workouts) for missing spring practice Which is the way it should be, IMO. I think BB wants to be begged to come back which would let him dictate his terms. Dooley IMO is brilliant. BB may not take his terms if he does want to come back, and in that case it will be good luck and bye to BB.

I hope Bryce chooses to continue at UT, but if he wants to go anywhere but USC or another SEC team, I'd wish him well. He's clearly making a deliberate decision as he did when he chose to be a Vol.

If your arms dip when you make a big cut, you will ride the pine after a couple of big cuts. When that arm falls, so does the ball. What happens when someone hits the back tip of the ball?
Ball on da ground, ball on da ground, looking like a fool wif da ball on da ground.

I think it's pretty clear he is asking for a release tomorrow and Dooley will grant it. I hate to lose him but can't make him stay if he doesn't want to be here

If the guy is having this much trouble deciding whether to play here or not, then it's best for everybody that he move on. Having players on a team that don't have their heart into the school can become a cancer on the whole team.

I suspect that when he turns on the TV this fall and sees Tennessee playing Bama or Florida or LSU while he's stuck in Manhatten KS ( makes Starkville look like Paris ) he'll have second thoughts, but in the end, there's only so much a coach can do for a kid.

It is sad. This epic thread is about to come to a halt on Monday... This thing is like the Neverending Story. Only thing missing is Atreyu. lol.
