I know you're committed to Miami, but if you had to rank your top schools right now, what would they be?
I've said in an interview before that Oregon is my top school right now.

What? Even above Miami?
Yes.

What is it that separates Oregon from everybody else?
(Oregon offensive coordinator and head coach in waiting Chip Kelly), man. His football knowledge, nobody compares to that. When (current Oregon head coach Mike Bellotti) is done, I know Coach Kelly is going to be there. I mean, he's the man. He knows his football stuff. He sits there for hours, and hours and hours just trying to get better. They take care of their players too.

I know you and (Wichita Northwest graduate and current Oregon running back) Chris Harper are pretty close, but just how close are you guys?
Oh man, we're close. We're very close.

Ok, here is a hypothetical question: if Chris were to transfer from Oregon, would that effect your decision at all?
No, not at all. I don't believe in that kind of stuff. I'm the one who has to get up and go to class. I'm the one who has to get prepared for the next level. That's my goal. I can't worry about anybody else.

It's kind of interesting that Oregon is his leader now. I guess he and Tajh Boyd must have bonded during the Army All America game because that's one of his favorites too. :)

Now both Rivals and Scout have him interested in us. Its almost like we are adding 1 or 2 good prospects a day, probably wont land him, but still we are doing a heluva job recruiting right now.

This could come back to bite us in the ass in 2010

I don't like anything about what happened with Tajh, for the record. I think we should have kept him as a commitment. I think you take a player of his ability and modify your offense to fit their style of play, you know - like they do in that NFL we keep hearing so much about.

That said, I think any affect that the decision might have on future recruiting will be positive - not negative.

I'm talking about when we play them in 2010.

Are you serious ? You think the NFL drafts players and then changes their system to fit them ? Yes that's why they spend millions to scout players , combines and psych evaluations. To see if players fit there system . So they can draft someone else and change theirsystem to fit the player .Been in the houch a little early have we ?

There is no one player that is bigger than a program or an offensive scheme.

yep...they're all pipedreams. Well, I guess that's it then...Lane call all the recruits and tell em we give up because we weren't always on top of their lists. Shucks, anybody want to walk on cuz UT has stopped recruiting people.

Why would he change his system over an 18 year old? Players run the coaches system, not the other way around

He is but his brother goes to Miami and has been telling Bryce to consider elsewhere...therefore he's looking around a bit.

They don't have a clue how to use him in Miami. I wonder if Lane's told him he can be our Reggie Bush.

I watched his team's practices during the week of the Army game(Scouts or Rivals has it). He was running circles around the other kids. He could be deadly catching balls out of the backfield and on screens.

I am pretty sure we do not get Brown but it is nice to see that Kiffin has the #1 rated player thinking about us in just over a month. I think it is a sign of things to come. We will be a recruiting powerhouse in the years to come.

Imagine what our class would look like if our staff would have had the benefit of a full year on the recruiting trail. As far as being a recruiting powerhouse, i feel the same.
That will ultimately lead to a lot of W's on the field.:)

Bryce Brown is a reach at this point, but until he decides not to visit we're not dead in the water.

Storm Johnson could be our Bryce Brown next year. His tape is excellent---speed and decent power...Reggie Bush vs Fresno St.-like cuts.

his Rivals video is off the charts. he gets face-to-face with a defender in the backfield and then bounces outside and sprints to a 30+ yard touchdown dash.

He is really impressive. We're only his third offer, but he should skyrocket through the rankings.
