Bryce Brown Announcement

"We know the reason why he made the decision that he made. But he needed to be reaffirmed in what we were seeing and how we thought the decision needed to be made. We looked at certain aspects of what we felt is going to fit him, and why that particular situation would fit him not just football sense, but also in an emotional sense. We all needed to make sure he could lay his head down at night and feel comfortable.

"We're confident after visiting together as a family, he's found that right place."

Where did you get that? oh please tell.

Hey Rex...who said that and whats your gut tell u today?

"It's kind of like what Arthur did when he went to Alabama. When he went there and met with all the coaches, he held his hand up in the air and said 'This is it.' But he ended up wanting to go back to see if that feeling was genuine. Arthur decided to make it one of his official visits, and when he went back, he didn't have the same feeling about Alabama. I felt like that's basically what Bryce wanted to make sure about Tennessee. He sensed that he saw something he really liked, so he wanted to make sure it was real or see if it was staged."

this quote was from his dad

"Larry Porter 3 time National Recruiter of the year RB coach at LSU. Tommy Moffit, The Best S&C in the Nation.. has won 4 National Titles."

Never heard of 'em and I've lived in Baton Rouge 25 yrs.

I like the quote IF BB liked what he saw the second time around. Good atmosphere at practice, another sit down with our coaches, and an evening with LPE...could it be enough to get his name on the dotted line?

I think he stays at Miami too.... BB is too complicated to understand. I won't be surprised if he says Florida at the last second...

Thisis out of the wichita eagle this morning...thought you might find it interesting...

Bryce Brown says he hasn't made his decision yet.

Brown, a former Wichita East running back and the nation's top recruit, listed five schools Sunday as possible destinations for his college football services. He's scheduled to say one of those names at 1 p.m. today at the Kansas Sports Hall of Fame.

"It's down to Oregon, Miami, Tennessee, K-State, and LSU," Brown said.

Brown orally committed to the University of Miami more than a year ago, but has since opened the door to several other schools and a prolonged recruitment.

Brown visited Tennessee, an unpaid visit, over the weekend to watch the Volunteers scrimmage. He took a paid recruiting visit in February. He suggested that's no indication that he's leaning toward Tennessee and new coach Lane Kiffin.

Brown's other brother, Arthur, completed his freshman season at Miami last fall.

Well...the day is here! I hope that it ends well for the Vols...

I'm off to New Hampshire to visit a maple syrup house with the parents who are visiting...then back down to Boston to follow the announcement....crossing fingers and wondering what I am going to fixate on once this is all over...:)

Miami lock. Since he's such a deeply committed Christian, why would he not honor what he PROMISED to another team? If he really thinks God is going to talk to him about this, God is probably saying, "BB, you promised the Hurricanes you'd play for them. Do unto others as you'd have them do unto you."

We'll see how God-fearing he really is in a few hours.

Is this post for real?

Seriously?

Well, its my opinion based on who BB says he is. He did commit to the U, afterall. I say its a Miami lock. If he comes to UT, he'll look like he compromised his own values.

Except his brother has told him that Miami isn't who they claim to be. So not really a moral dilemma. If your brother tells you not to come and the school tells you they might not have your scholly do you really go ahead go there anyway?
