Bryce Brown Announcement

Except his brother has told him that Miami isn't who they claim to be. So not really a moral dilemma. If your brother tells you not to come and the school tells you they might not have your scholly do you really go ahead go there anyway?

This is fine with me =) I'm all Vol! I hope he does come. I'm just preparing for what could be one viable reason he signs with the Canes.

I dont believe so either. However, consider BB. I think HE would feel that way.

I'm a Christian and I wouldn't feel that way. He committed when was 16 or 17. He is a young guy with insane amounts of attention.

To say he is compromising his values or whatever is nuts. The latest article says he wished he didn't commit so early and would advise others against committing so early.

You are entitled to your opinion.....but people change their mind...and i don't think God looks down on them for it. He COULD have been wrong the first time???

"Larry Porter 3 time National Recruiter of the year RB coach at LSU. Tommy Moffit, The Best S&C in the Nation.. has won 4 National Titles."

Never heard of 'em and I've lived in Baton Rouge 25 yrs.

It must be because your not an LSU fan..

You do realize Moffit was on UT staff when they won in 98? Then he went to Miami and won a title there, should have been 2..and has won 2 at LSU

If you haven't heard of Larry Porter, then your just not paying attention to recruiting outside of UT

Amazing ..................... Even when people are asked and then reminded again to quit the BS on a player thread..............they still don't listen. I care less who "Griff" is......Just post me some BB info and I'll be happy.

That being said, the March 16th article that interviewed his dad had this quote (Arthur, of course, is his older brother at Miami. This is what he did last year to BAMA. Sound familiar?)

"It's kind of like what Arthur did when he went to Alabama. When he went there and met with all the coaches, he held his hand up in the air and said, 'This is it.' But he ended up wanting to go back to see if that feeling was genuine. Arthur decided to make it one of his official visits, and when he went back, he didn't have the same feeling about Alabama. I felt like that's basically what Bryce wanted to make sure about Tennessee. He sensed that he saw something he really liked, so he wanted to make sure it was real or see if it was staged."

This family has a pattern it seems......hope BB doesn't follow his brother's example. :crossfingers:

@Rex- That quote from his dad was made recently? If this is true it doesn't bode well for UT. Did his family every visit knoxville?

I'm not getting a good feeling about all this.

Did it hint at the fact of whetehr it was real or staged?

I'm honestly not even getting my hopes up today. Sure it will suck if he doesn't choose UT, but I had my hopes up for MB and OC and neither of those chose us, so i'm not getting my hopes up. However, I do like the fact that he came back on a visit this weekend, and correct me if i'm wrong, but hasn't it been a long time since he has been to Miami? Like as far as a visit or anything goes? I'm sure they have probably talked on the phone and since his brother goes there he obviously is kept to speed with what's going on, but the fact that he hasn't visited them in a while has to help us out a little bit.

"We know the reason why he made the decision that he made. But he needed to be reaffirmed in what we were seeing and how we thought the decision needed to be made. We looked at certain aspects of what we felt is going to fit him, and why that particular situation would fit him not just football sense, but also in an emotional sense. We all needed to make sure he could lay his head down at night and feel comfortable.

"We're confident after visiting together as a family, he's found that right place."

Who is this quote talking about - what school?

I think that was from the interview yesterday if i'm not mistaken.

You people are reading too much into the BAMA quote. He went back to UT to visit to see if his first impression was a true one. When his brother went to Bama for the 2nd time, he discovered it was not for him. His family wanted him to do the same and make sure. This leads to the following conclusions...IMO.

1. BB loved UT after his first visit and felt it was where he wanted to go.

2. Due to what happened with his brother, they encouraged him to go back for a 2nd trip to make sure it was right.

3. If the trip went well, and by all accounts it seemed to, then he would be at peace signing here.

4. The only way we don't get him is IF the trip bottomed out and he was not comfortable.

This tells me that his 1st choice is us and the only way another school gets him is if something happened that was not right. I just can't see THIS staff blowing that opportunity. I may be wrong, but this is my read on that story.

More 'insider" info from a Ducks blog, with additional site links.According to this UT not in the mix.

No offense, but your post is based solely on hypotheticals as you see them. Read #3 and #4 of your post. They contradict themselves and only reaffirm his dad's statement in the quote.

I agree completely. The only quote that makes me raise an eybrow is the one where he said something to the effect of "after visiting as a familiy, I am sure he has found the right place.". No family visiting here. BUT they did visit LSU who also happens to have a solid S&C program and RB coach.
