Bryce Brown Announcement

whether he chooses LSU or Oregon, we'll see him 2010...but hopefully UT will be the winner here...:crossfingers:

Since signing day has passed, whoever's rivals staff has gone out to cover the signing, has gotten the player. Does anyone have info on who's going to be there(I know the Kansas media people are doing it but anyone know who's going to interview afterward.)

In spite of some pretty idiotic posts by Oregon fans (I'd previously given them more credit than that), I think Brown has his choice of two very good options and two poor options (IMO). I think Miami would be a horrible choice. Until they make a major investment, they're a third tier program surviving on a first tier reputation and history. It is a house of cards that will have to fall. Hate it for that coach. Seems like a quality guy.

LSU under Miles has routinely underachieved their talent level and now the last vestiges of Saban's program are gone... last year was the result.

I think UT is his best option but IMO Oregon is clearly his second best option. Both schools have good staffs. The Ducks are one of the 9 also rans in the Pacified 10 but they are poised if Carroll leaves to step up. Their facilities are reputed to be some of the best in the country. They have a very good fan base compared to other West Coast teams. Outzen is a great game day environment. The area is beautiful with a very temperate climate (probably important for a KS kid).

I think it is stupid for Oregon fans to even attempt to compare the prestige of the two programs. OTOH, there are some very good reasons to go there that we shouldn't ignore.

Jeremy Crabtree from Rivals was on KGSO this morning.. Chris Allison (the guy mentioned in the Oregon blog) gathered from Crabtree's comments that it was Oregon.

I thought we already established CHRIS ALLISON was JIMMY HYAMS:)

Typo....Bryce Brown.

Here is a quote from Bryce's father, regarding what was important when Bryce and his family made their final decision las night.

"No. 1 on the list was the position coach. That and the strength and conditioning coach were the two most important things on his list. The program and the process we put together put more emphasis on the position coach and the strength and conditioning coach than anything else."

Eddie Gran has put a lot of Running Backs in the NFL, which we all know is very important to Bryce. Furthermore, before I even ran across this quote...I was hearing that Bryce was really, really impressed with S&C Coach Mark Smith.

From everything im hearing, Im 85% confident that we get Bryce Brown today.

Anyone thing gran sold bb and oku on being rb &?cw?

I hope so, looks like a lot of backs get to the NFL when splitting carries in college. Not only Ronnie Brown and Carnell Williams and Reggie and Lendale but look at Felix Jones and Darren McFadden at Arkansas. It certainly won't hurt his chances to be part of a duo and go to the NFL.

Just posted the Harper thing because I'm making an attempt to contribute to this conversation.

I know you guys have many good sources, who all have you feeling good. On both Scout and Rivals, our mods have been very quiet regarding BB..

Over the last 12 hours though that tune has changed a little bit. I'm infinitely more confident than I was Friday when I thought he was bound for UT.
