Bryce Brown Announcement

wisevolfan is the poster. He's been a member for 61 months, but only has 1235 posts. I don't know anything about his reputation.

Well of course, I would love to have him. However, our world is not ending if he goes to the U, or UO, or KSU. Now I would not be crazy about him being in the SEC...unless he racks up 200+ on Bama or UGA.

I just think he is getting attention like he is Herschel Walker (yes, I just referenced a UGA legend...ease up!). And I am not sure he is going to have THAT kind of impact. If he does...AWESOME...especially if he is in UT orange.

uhhh...if healthy he is equivalent in effect not style to getting Wells or Peterson or Dayne etc...this is not my opinion this is the opinion of guys who analyze these guys for a living, coaches, and so forth...it hurts more than we know not to get this guy.

I think this means a little bit more than just getting this guy in a UT uniform. This is the #1 recruit in the country. The staff did not have a lot of time to get in the door, and they did. They have stolen 2 recruits from Florida, and might possibly land the #1 player in the nation. He is a big time player. I don't know if you saw the All American game, but he was pretty good. That's an understatement.

Yeah, he's getting attention, but that's warranted when you're the best. He is going to have high expectations when he comes in. On VSPN's show (Sorry if I can't say that) he almost sounded like he "didn't want to be the man". I think with the running backs that UT has right now, he doesn't "have to be the man" just yet. In two years, I think we will all be happy that he signed with the Vols.

Quit it with the OT posts already! Damn. GA has told you several times to stop!

I think if the coaches are that confident, Brown reaffirmed his attentions to them on his visit.

I would be too, The visit makes no sense if not. I think we got him.

Did you mean intentions?

I'm afraid your support is a negative. Aren't you the idiot that was buying the info from LPEs facebook?

Yes, I was. I was also the guy who stood up last night and took his medicine, admitted I was wrong, and moved on. I did NOT come here attacking people and trying to draw attention to myself as you and your teammate appear to be.

Agreed. If we do indeed land Bryce Brown it will be huge for jump starting next year's signing class. Landing the number 1 recruit in the country will make other guys start to take notice, if they haven't already. It is nothing short of amazing what this coaching staff has done in the very short amount of time that they have been here.

You are dead on. Maybe subconsciously I am prepping myself to not be overly disappointed if we don't get him. I am new at this message board thing and this is the first recruit that I have followed for an extended period of time. And I DO hate to lose!

I JUST said that like 2 pages back.

You need to message me. I'm selling season tickets to the Open Practices for the UT men's football team this season. $99.99. Thanks.

Source? :)

But seriously, are you selling them for the women's football team also?

Good to hear that he's a reliable poster, Sab.

I know what you're saying.

It feels like Tennessee lost all of their recruits to Georgia, doesn't it? That's the feeling you get when you're living here.

I want something to go UT's way, but I really feel like it has. I feel like the direction of the program can only go up from here, and things are going well. I think that Bryce Brown can see that, and he can be a part of something special at Tennessee.

I am not going to get my hopes up, but I'm pretty confident in this staff and their ability to "seal the deal".

Yeah, thanks for conveniently stepping up when VSPN is gone. For what it's worth I do appreciate your posts but find this rather telling.

I have no idea what you are talking about. Thanks, I think, for the compliment, but I'm not sure what at all I have to do with VSPN. I've been just as critical as anyone else.

Too much is being made of this Chip Kelly thing. The mods on the Oregon Rivals site are painting him a Duck just because of this. I think the truth is this makes absolutely 0 difference in the grand scheme of things.

Guys, Oregon is not a player in this one. They've been out of it for awhile as I've been saying. Miami is our only competition and Bryce and the coaches have not had a lot of contact since right after the media report that they weren't going to re-offer. This one is ours. Just remember that I called "silent commit" come Monday.

Got to agree with you on this one. People need to calm down and realize how good it sounds that this is....

1.) His SECOND trip to UT.

2.) A trip he had to finance, not an official by the university.

3.) A trip right before his announcement that is set on Monday.

If I am a fan of another team, I am VERY concerned about UT right now!

BB.... think Tennessee... think Tennessee... think Tennessee

That's the best mojo I can come up with..

LOL, agreed. I've watched it at least six times and I'm still laughing.

Seriously, that SOOOOO took me by surprise, and that was probably one of the funniest things I have ever seen...

Voldaddy, way to put in a bunch of jokes from the Volnation forum while at the same time taking some shots at other schools! haha!

"Why the hell would anyone want to play football in Oregon? Hell, why would anyone want to GO there? Period."
