Brooks commit pushes back plans to sign

Yeah, I thought Pruitt (hoped) was still the guy. What is frustrating is if he was just smart enough to bench JG at least by game 4 then we could be 5-4 or 6-3 and not many would have called for his head. He let his decision on one player destroy this season and the program for several years.
He's stubborn and apparently very loyal. Which are very good qualities to have. Unless you're running a D1 football program and the QB you tied yourself to is sub par at best. Very frustrating to watch its like watching someone bang thier head against a brick wall and expecting the outcome to change.

Is Brooks worth keeping Pruitt though?

I get that he’s a very talented player but one player shouldn’t decide a coach’s future.

No one kids is worth keeping this bad coach. Tennessee is a great place to play and if we get the right coach it will be again . But not under this clown. So yes come to tn its got the best fans in America. Just this coach has got to go . GBO.

You are 100% correct. Having the right guy in charge is exponentially more important than a few highly rated recruits

Could just be that wants to wait to see who his coach is going to be before signing with Tennessee. Could also be that another school has gotten his attention amidst our struggles and wants to take some more time to weigh his options. Regardless, the early signing period needs to be put to rest once and for all.

Thanks for this unique take... Really laid it out for us here... Are you also of the opinion that the team that typically scores the most points usually comes away with the W???

Given the mundane offense we run, that's a question you should probably ask Pruitt.
