briscoe in trouble

Listen, Matt. I know you're probably struggling with a lot of confusing emotions right now.

You may feel ashamed, scared, isolated, humiliated, confused, afraid you won't be believed or that the abuse will get worse if you report it. You are not to blame! Do not suffer in silence, as there are people who can help. I'm not one of 'em, but they're out there.

You can come clean...you don't have to protect this monster anymore.

Post of the year.......right here. :lolabove:

Eh, I would want to see the text before rushing to judgment.

You could consider "Blow me" a solicitation, even if he was joking around. It could literally be just a terrible choice in words that landed him in the hot-seat... especially because he was in a position of authority.

Thing is, we don't know the full context of this.

It doesn't really matter how this all shakes out now. He's been accused. It's in the media. He's done. Whether he's actually guilty or not.

So long Briscoe you can kiss your coaching career good-bye. Why don't you laugh it off much like you did with your receiver career at UT. Call Phil up and see if he can rush to your aid since he was always so good at defending you for your failures.

If that is indeed all that the text said, it is a truly sad day that someones rep and career, regardless of what you thought of him as a player, could be ruined because of it.

Per reports:

"You owe me a lil action for going off like that,..." the message stated and then suggested a particular sexual favor.

Yeah, just awful that someone's career would be harmed for exhibiting such wonderful judgment.

This is a good point. He could have said something along the line of "I'm going to be on your ass," or "I'm going to be up in your ass...". Then the pissed of kid or parents try to say it is solicitation.

Not saying this is what happened or that it is at all acceptable to be sending a 15 year old texts. We should just wait for all the facts before we find him guilty.

good thing for Josh McNeil he never played quarterback.

I've coached with a team that had a bisexual QB. As he once asked, "What could I possibly find arousing about putting my hands on a pachyderm's sweaty taint? You'd think the most fun part would be dropping the snap and ending up on the bottom of a pileup."

Rarely a dull moment with him around...

hardly ever see an openly gay football player

Do I know for a fact that Briscoe is guilty as charged ?... No

Would I be even the least bit surprised if he is ? ... No

He was a less than stellar football player and it would appear that he's an even worse solicitor for some action.

that text could have meant anything depending on the rest of the convo but he should have never put himself in the situation.....he always did seem a little on the strange side
