I bet the preparation for the Bristol game was hella stressful and maybe that’s why they haven’t revisited the idea.
I can imagine management at BMS once that was all done saying "Write it down and post it, we are never doing that again.".

I remember seeing videos and reading articles about all the prep work they had to do in order to get ready.
They literally started the day after the last race and trucked in HUNDREDS of loads of dirt before they could even start building a base for the playing field.
Then all the outer structural work and cabling to hang that giant monitor brick.
It was a crazy massive feat for sure.

Not only a naw but a bell naw

I can live peacefully with never being in the middle of another mess like that again in my life.

Have some friends that are going up for the Braves/Reds game. I advised them on no uncertain terms that they would come to regret going- They have chosen to ignore my warnings.

I did my best, so I can sleep peacefully with what happens.....

I "believe" they left everything there for a bit.i remember going back up to the area a few weeks after the UT/VT game to visit my mom. The billboards around were pumping up an ETSU game there vs ???. I'm sure it didn't draw 150k though ha ha.

YES...I had forgotten about that game!!!
ETSU played Western Carolina in what turned out to be a pretty good game with The Bucs coming back from a big early deficit to win.

I had to look it up and it was played in front of an ETSU record of almost 14 thousand fans.
The two schools were kind of smart too and had a 'trophy' made from a NASCAR tire in anticipation of the event being a regular happening...I'm not sure if they still trade that tire each as a series trophy or not.

Brings up a question though, would fans / promoters / teams be interested in doing a BoB2 if there were an "undercard" game?

ETSU and WCU would kick at say Noon and then UT vs VT (or UNC, WVU, UK, etc.) would kick at 7pm...

I honestly would just like a home and home with VT. Or get really crazy and make a permanent rival the way others in the SEC have permanent ACC rivals. Obviously those are all in-state rivalry games, but it could be fun.

I was there. It was exhausting and from "end zone" where my seat was, I couldn't tell what was going on in the game. Jumbotron wasn't playing replays as I expected. Some, but most of the camera shots were kids eating ice cream and lots of things that didn't have anything to do with the game. I'm glad I went. That was the most people to ever watch a football game live. I don't think NFL has had a bigger attendance either, but I might be wrong on that. I won't go back.

Should play a game in Mexico City or China. Expand our international audience
Already happens. Every other year we play in Alabama.

Wasn’t it difficult for some to see the game at the last one due to how big Bristol is? I think it was kind of a niche thing to have the largest CFB crowd ever but I’m not sure I’d go to it in person.
