I'd like to see it back. First UT game I ever went to was the beer barrel game

Watts was in jail from March 31 to July 19. Circuit Judge Daniel J. Venters released him early and sentenced him to five years probation.
The reason they stopped using it was reasonable. I would say the trinket was fun, but we can live without it. I don't think you want to risk hurting the feelings of the families invoved with that - unimaginably terrible what they had to go through.
trophy for the UT/Kentucky football rivalry. The last time we played for the barrell was in 1999. It was a decision made by C.W. Newton and the UT AD, Doug Dickey. It was stopped because two UK players were killed in an alcohol related accident.
I say bring it back. It was a 74 year tradition that made the game a little more important for both teams. I have no problem with it.
