Here's the main problem, Pearl hates Cheek (and others at UT) and Cheek (and others at UT) hate Pearl.

It's been explained a million times, and I doubt taking the time to type it yet again is going to convince you. You simply don't get it or you choose not to.

Asking why is it not that simple is like asking why can't Republicans and Democrats just agree to get along.

It's been 4 years, and they both love UT. I think they can figure this out, they are after all both adults. If this is what's best for the program, then they need to suck it up.

And Cheek isn't the only one; hate is probably a strong word, but Pearl lied straight up to a lot of people. He's clearly not trusted by a lot of movers and shakers in Knoxville.

If you heard Jimmy Hyams interview of Cheek a few weeks ago I think the word hate is appropriate. As to others, that why I said "and others". :)

I don't understand why you and a few other can't just ignore this thread. Most people should understand why Bruce won't be hired. But that doesn't mean we're not going to call for him.

If someone is going to state it's "simple" to rehire Pearl, then they are going to get responses.

That's like saying the world is flat and others should refrain from responding.

The NCAA would more than likely be watching very closely, a ton of people are taking the chance Pearl won't screw them over again, and just because he won before is in no way a given he'll do it again.

It's not a crapshoot as much as say a Will Wade but it's still one in its own right.

The whole "the ncaa will be watching" is a horrible excuse. The ncaa is watching everyone and pearls big offense isn't even illegal anymore. So let's not act like he has some Calipari like history of cheating.

Bruce is no longer a fit. As Hart said the other day, the hire will NOT have any NCAA baggage. That message was for fans wanting Bruce. It could not have been more plain spoken....

It's not a horrible excuse because they've been dealing with 2 of our coaches in the past 4 years.

And he had a show cause so actually in their eyes, he's worse.

His big offense was lying to the CAA and that is still the biggest infraction one can commit. Watch Donnie's penaty

No it wasn't. That message was "yeah, I ****ed up last time".

And Pear has no NCAA baggage.
