Someone bump the post someone made mocking Pearl for losing a game that didn't matter to some lower level team

Great thread. Had people in there trying to tell me he would be fired after this year

Bruce Peal is the coach that should've worked out. He had it all the fanbase liked him, he had a good rep for X's and O's, respected nationally for his game presence. Heck he even body painted up to support the football team and coach Summit loved him. But he didn't make a mistake he made a bad choice. And he's made other bad choices since he's left Knoxville. One one hand he's a great hire, on the other you'd need a staff to watch his every move and a PR team to address it. Still I miss the guy he was likeable.

He lied to the NCAA. He lied to his bosses about failed drug tests. He can not be trusted. It's way beyond time to let it go. He's not coming back and neither is Lane.

I agree and he should never be rehired he crossed a line that you can't go back and fix, explain, or justify. It was a choice of character he'll always have. Its not about forgiving him and second chances, its who he is.

The Ringling Brothers Circus permanently shuts down at about the same time as Bruce gets Auburn playing up to expectations. Coincidence?

Can we get anyone with a pulse and recruit a few players that can play? Vol fan since 77 and I'd like to see good basketball again.

It was.

Bruce is like everyone else. He has good points and bad points. It is just that his bad points mean that he will likely never coach at Tennessee again, and if he is not careful, anywhere other than maybe some high school or JUCO.

I wished Barnes would start acting like a clown and win a conference championship, an NIT championship, six NCAA bids, three sweet sixteens, one elite eight and two points away from a final four.

I really, really hope that Barnes will always keep his shirt on when in public. But each to their own I suppose.
