Well let's see. When Al Davis showed him the door and basically told him even your daddy couldn't get you a job now coaching HS football now, it was a fairly true statement. The only one that was willing to hire him was Tennessee. He repaid that by running off with USC without so much as a thanks rubes it's been a hoot. Now I don't blame him for leaving for USC it was where he'd rather be, swimmin pools, movie stars. But he could've left with more tact than that a press conference would've went a long way, not an apology but an explanation of his reasoning, UTK deserved that much and were denied it. It set our program back years an added insult to injury in the eyes of the NCAAF community making it harder to find any coach that would take the job, and that led UTK in desperation to choose Dooley and his fiasco of a contract, which set us further back, that and the Gators streak made UTK a laughing stock. Thats how I remember it. Now I think Mr Kiffin knows down deep he screwed over UTK and much like the thief who gets caught he's not remorse at what he did he's unhappy he was caught and everyone knows it. He dumps on UTK when the opportunity arises out of guilt and like a spoiled child he don't like the stigma that follows him now. My 2 cents.
