Lane may be doing us the biggest favor of all by muddying the water in FL recruiting...along w/ Charlie Strong and Butch Davis, and of course FSU and Miami. Kiffin, Strong and Davis prob won't pull in the 4's and 5's, but they're sure to hit on some 3 stars. Diluted talent pool in FL is good.

If he stays at FAU for 3 years, I hope we do not have to play him. I wished he had stayed at Tennessee.

Yeah Lane isn't going to be laying all them bricks. I give him 2-3 years max before he heads to another power 5 team.

Couldn't coach the Raiders. Bolted Tennessee leaving the school in shambles and a ton of thugs on the team for the next guy to deal with. Couldn't coach at USC. Did a good job at Alabama but couldn't get along with the head coach and was forced out there.

Now FAU. Does anyone seriously think this is a stepping stone to another major college head coach job? More like the dying gasps of a dead man.

He has an epic amount of talent within an hour of him. North west is Belle Glade,fl (most NFL players per capita of any city) , south is miami and homestead. North is palm beach county (my backyard). Expand that to 3 hours and you get Naples, Tampa, Lakeland, orlando, etc.
granted fau is my alma mater- but they have a new stadium and they're trying to improve the campus. Also, entrance standards are a joke- he could do well there.

As soon as Kiffin gets moved in at Boca Raton, and if a Vols fan with Columbo research skills and too much time on his hands figures out his address, there may be a Billy Madison scene reenactment.

Have you heard of his first FAU commit? If he keeps it up, he might have the college version of, "The Longest Yard" or "Gridiron Gang".

Hey it is not a draw. Many Vol fans like me have a redneck nature and don't look favorably on some brash punk being given the opportunity of a lifetime and crapping the nest in 11 months. The original Tennessee Volunteers kicked the British butts in the Battle of New Orleans led by General Jackson. What other school has that legacy? The blame lies with Mike Hamilton for hiring the idiot but Kiffin is the one we can still lash out on for his disastrous role in vol football history. Will be fun watching Kiffin work his way back up the food chain in the calibre of job he was a reach for when poor Hamilton brought him into the sec way before he was out of diapers. Kiffin remains toxic following his Tennessee and USC flops.
