A rumor started by 99Gator on GoVolsXtra before the bowl game and carried over to this board shortly thereafter...Please don't perpetuate it by posting it unless you have a "reliable source"...Not fair to JJ to do so..JMO

Too many rumors! I spoke to someone on TOS and he stated it was about child support. TIFWIW

All rumors at this point. I just hope he works it out and can come back. He has a NFL bright future if so.

Edit: No, I am not trying to spread another rumor either.

Well...let's just say "some" understand what's going on...

And then there are others that don't want to buy-in yet...

Meanwhile...every public decision CDD has made in the JJ "events" have shown nothing but compassion for a kid, player, VOL and leadership during trying times (not having your best player practice for bowl game).
If you want to equate that to him "blowing his nose"...then frankly, that says more about you than him or anyone "cheer"ing him...

For those that are in the know, I have heard this has to do with something that happened on campus. Is that what you are aware of? I don't want to say more than that, because although I think it is accurate, it's second-hand info for me.

Can honestly say I'm more depressed that Evans is coming back. Had to be the worst starting DB in the SEC last season.

If he is leaving the team for good he is terrible and over-hyped, if he comes back then he is the best safety in the SEC if not the NCAA. That is all.

Again, I'm a Dooley fan. I think he is a class act. Just don't think his press release today merits applause. But thanks for evaluating my character. Constructive criticism is always helpful.

JJ is a really good player, although he is not the second coming of EB by a long shot. I hope he works through his issues and wish him nothing but the very best.I hope he comes back ready to go. However, being involved in the Pilot caper, weed citations, etc. - let's not make him out to be more than he has been, which is a mixed bag.
