He certainly didn't look like he had no idea what was going down. Hope he can get whatever demons he has in check, but we've seen this song and dance before. Good luck Janzen, you really were a supreme talent.

I received the text as well, figured the board would be blowing up! I am not shocked due to thefamily isues back home. At least and as sad as it is, I hope this is the case.

It appears that CDD has left the door open for Janzen to return if he can work out his problems. I don't know what his problems are but he may have stepped away because he could not keep his grades up and fix his problems at the same time.

I do not think we will ever know the truth as to what this young man is going through but a pparently it is some serious stuff. I don't see Dooley as the type to just cover for a kid if it is something that is an error on the kids part. I truly think Janzen is going through some rough times and it is great to know we have a coach and a staff that are truly there for the kids in football AND in life! All the best to Janzen and his family and to those Vols we have up on The Hill currently...this is just another opportunity for someone to step up and make a name for themselves.

CDD is obviously trying to work with him. I think CDD knows Janzen is about 12 months away from making some serious NFL money and wants him to make it. The fact he has never stated Janzen is in trouble is a good sign.

According to Brad Feldman

A Vol source said they expect him back for the 2011 season.


I imagine this was the continuing family circumstances that he needs to work out and that he will be back for the fall. I wish him and his family the best.
