I assume that if the Schiano debacle was not enough to fire Currie, this **** storm if true HAS to be the nail in the coffin. I mean this is just comedic at this point.

They were a dumpster fire before him and they actually competed this year. For Brohm to accomplish that it is a amazing feat truly. They were beyond bad before him .

Not saying he is the next Saban, but I bet he ain't the next Butch or Dooley either.

I am of the mindset that this administration and its ties have to be a bunch of buffoons.

All of this nonsense over the past 72 hours is just one more reason we should have ponied up the 200k for a search firm and not relied on this administration. Candidates would have been vetted discretely and professionally. Then the selection process could have began from there.

My opinion, Currie and Haslam knew they were going to get Schiano as their plan A. That is why they never hired a search firm. However, they played along with everyone else's Plan A. That is also why Butch was never fired, he thought he had his man already. Then they pulled the ole switcharoo just like they did during his hire.


I love my Vols and our fan base and will continue to support both, but I'll be damned if I continue to spend money for this administration. We are the University of Tennessee, we bring in more revenue than 98% of colleges and somehow we can't afford the right administration? Coaches? I don't think so...it is high time we make some administrative changes as well as coaching changes.

And meanwhile we can all hope HOH gets theirs with this lawsuit.

"if" this is true......we can all respect that (what he wanted).

and again IF it is true, get him or not.......again they royally screw things up........no way the players should have to hear this first, in that way..........not to mention Brom's first interaction with Tennessee would be a total screw up towards him.

I'm a Vols fan and a Purdue fan and I didn't originally think Brohm would take a job anywhere else but Louisville. I was surprised today to hear we were close on him (if that's even true). So count me in that camp too.

He is a really good coach though. He was on my short-list of coaches to watch for a (hopeful) open position at ND.

He's a better hire than Tee and Kiffin on his worse day. I swear the intelligence level of some of our fans is absolutely embarrassing. Tell me one thing that makes Tee a better hire than Brohm??

Enjoy the ride. David Blackburn should have gotten the AD job and not this idiot. Until the Haslems get their hands out of the sports Dept this is what you get. We are now the Cleveland Browns of the NCAA.

How is this debacle in any way Curries fault? I think we are at a point where everyone in Voll nation needs to take a collective breath and step away from the keyboard/cellphone for the rest of the day and return to this in the morning.

Social media is a powerful tool and we are seeing what happens when the sword cuts the other way here.
