Breaking Bad on amc

I hate the fact I'm posting so fast in this that its like a damn twitter feed, but I'm still amped from this.

However, most underrated yet huge moment of this episode,

"I'm sorry for your loss"

I expected Hank to survive the shoot out, but it really surprised me when he was executed. I really didn't see that coming.

Wow, every time I thought I had been shocked, I was shocked again. Watching that episode was like jumping into a tank of electric eels!

May have trouble sleeping thinking on all the twists and turns tonight...

Same here, I've gotta be in for a ten hour shift at 6 AM, and I'm here like I just did a hit of coke or something after this.

Will next episode have more deaths? The whites house is still in good shape for now, but it can't be for much longer. I guess the Nazis are going to still want Walt dead?

Ozymandias

I met a traveller from an antique land
Who said: `Two vast and trunkless legs of stone
Stand in the desert. Near them, on the sand,
Half sunk, a shattered visage lies, whose frown,
And wrinkled lip, and sneer of cold command,
Tell that its sculptor well those passions read
Which yet survive, stamped on these lifeless things,
The hand that mocked them and the heart that fed.
And on the pedestal these words appear --
"My name is Ozymandias, king of kings:
Look on my works, ye Mighty, and despair!"
Nothing beside remains. Round the decay
Of that colossal wreck, boundless and bare
The lone and level sands stretch far away.'
Percy Bysshe Shelley

I don't know. I'm trying to figure it out. They seemed like they were on fairly good terms with him when they left.

I think Todd's uncle would have killed him if he didn't think it would hurt Todd. Or maybe he's just giving it a couple of weeks for an opportunity when Todd won't realize he killed Walt.

What did the note on Holly's shirt say though?

I didn't notice the note until I saw your post. Went back on the saved dvr recording and made out their address and Holly's name. No hidden message that I could make out. That kid was absolutely perfect in that scene. Can only imagine how long it took them to get that just right.

That entire nazi group just walked away with 70 million dollars cash and they're still insisting on cooking meth.

Either the nazi's want Walt or Lydia does, which one is it?

Either Jesse and Walt kill each other or Walt wipes everyone out with the machine gun and then smokes the ricin cigarette. I'm not sure which ending would be better.

My bet is on Walt and Jesse going out at the same time. The show was built from those two.

Meth lab explosion?

Say they're both dead at the end of this and there is actually money left to be had. Does Skylar still want it? How does Skylar get it for the family and use it? Saul?

Todd so needs to die.

Interesting. At this point only Lydia and now Jesse know where the nazis have their lab. Does Lydia talk Todd into allowing Jesse to live?

Jesse still might not know where the lab is, they could have blind folded him before he got there.

I can't remember. Does Jesse know EVERYTHING about cooking Walt's meth and how to do it?

True on the blind folding, but when they drove off he looked back at Walt without a blindfold on. Who knows on that one. But Jesse was sent to Mexico to teach the cartel how to cook so I would think he could produce the blue that Lydia wanted since he did it for the cartel. He also ran the lab in Walt's absence. The whole thing about Todd wanting to keep him alive imo was to produce the blue so he could impress Lydia.

I'm sure Todd wants Jesse to cook the blue but how do the wrangle Walt back into the picture? Is Jesse not able to produce the same, is he missing something? Is Walt the only one who can fix it and that's why they want him?

In term of Walt fitting back into the cooking picture, I don't think he is going to cook anymore. 70 millon and a guy who can produce the closest product takes care of that issue imo. Since he took the new identity route, the only reason he would come back to the nazis is to kill them and/or save Jesse, imo. He's still got the machine gun so shat has got to go down at some point.

And I'll piggy bag a little on my previous post above. Even though Jesse turned on Walt, Walt has always done whatever he could to protect Jesse even though it has been warped most of the time. But Walt has gone to great links to try and better jesse like a father to a son. With Walt jr. calling the cops and making that false accusation, he probably feels extremely betrayed by his own flesh and blood son.

Even with what Jesse has done, I can still see Walt trying to break bad and do what's right as a broken man and prevent Jesse from further harm. His family has taken their stance so why not try and salvage what he can in what he sees in jesse? Apologies for the rambling, just some random thoughts.

Jesse cooked in Mexico and registered 96% purity.

Walt's was like 99.X%, but Todd's was ~70% IIRC.

I think it's pretty obvious at this point that Walt comes back to take down the Nazis. Probably in a suicide mission. He's going to be really surprised to see that Jesse is still alive, at which point I think one of two things happen.

Either Walt has a change of heart and lets Jesse live, or they show down in epic fashion. Walt dies. Jesse may or may not. I'm hoping not.

Maybe Walt releases Jesse from his chains and tells him he forgives him and then Jesse turns on him anyway and kills him.

In all reality, though, the real finale will be completely unpredictable.

This is a great read about Shelley's Poem and the episode.

'Breaking Bad' recap: Ozymandias | Season 5 Episode 14 | EW.com

Seems like him volunteering to cook to save/make amends with Jesse and then attempting to kill the nazis with science while cooking is possible.

Then, when he goes to arrogantly collect his thank you from Jesse, the Jane thing pops up again and he gets deaded.

I think he comes back for revenge. Remember, Walt knew that Jesse was going to be tortured and gave the go ahead anyways. Jesse is dead to Walt at this point, and there is no salvaging that past relationship mainly because Walt blames Jesse 100% for Hank's death, which absolutely crushed Walt to the core.

Walt will never apologize to Jesse or try to save him. He hates him. Death is coming to one of them by the hand of the other.
