Breaking Bad on amc

I just can't see a situation in which Hank or Gomie lives without it putting a serious bitter taste in my mouth. For them to somehow win a gunfight against a group of guys with Military grade weaponry would just be too far a reach for the writers. And this show has very very few moments where they "reach" during the storyline. They set the table perfectly for Hank to die. He got his triumph over Heisenberg. He finished it with the emotional phone call to Marie. They both spoke their "I love you". Now it is time for Hank to bite it. There are no "good guys" or "heroes" in this show, so I believe there will not be any real "justice" in terms of a good guy winning against the bad guy. The justice will come when Walt finally has to live with the consequences of his decisions. I think we will see something unfold where the result will be Walt dying of cancer with seven barrels full of money, and no family to give it to. The entire effort will be wasted because Walt will be alone. That will be the true justice.

I agree, but as clever as the writing has been throughout the entire series, and the fact the Hank mentioned the Tribal Police (out of the blue) just before the nazis showed up, I can see something happening that leaves one of them dead and the other mortally wounded but alive long enough to implicate Walt or left for dead but survives.

I don't think the Tribal Police were just randomly mentioned...although it could be just that they discover the bodies from the shootout.

Maybe the flash forwards we've been seeing are Walt setting up to kill off Tod's uncle's crew.

If Hank dies, which looks pretty imminent, no way can I see Walt voluntarily cooking for Tod's uncle. Perhaps Hank dying is what finally drives Walt to see all the lives he's destroyed and him taking on Tod's uncle is a small penance.

Hank and Marie's phone call sealed the deal for me as far as believing Hank's dead next episode.

I haven't watched one episode of this series but this is pretty cool. It also sounds like this is one of the most in-depth complete series sets released to date as for as special features.

Everyone ready for the complete series release on Blu-ray!

Nitpicking here, but it seems that the neo-nazi crew had some open shots. There were a lot of missed shots from the time they started shooting until Hank and Gomez got behind the SUV to cover. This is the same crew that took down the last meth cooking crew very efficiently.

Seemed very "GI Joe" with all the missed shots.

Thought the same thing... But they probably did that to lead suspense into next week. I think Hank is a goner, just don't see any other way around. Out numbered and no backup.

Wasn't Gomez already hit in the stomach? I need to go back and watch but I thought for sure I saw red and what looked like a gunshot wound to his abdomen area.

They both have to be dead, there's no way they had enough firepower to retaliate, not to mention they had to have run out of ammo pretty quickly. I think the phone call to Marie tells us Hank is a goner. Jesse may somehow survive; I do see Walt bargaining with the Nazis for his life.

Anyone else think it was funny how little they obviously regarded Walt though? I mean they were shooting up that SUV, and Walt was in the back; Walt could have easily been killed in that shootout.

No blood, you just see Gomez cringe while hiding behind the front end of the SUV.

Why didn't they just show their badges, did they not have them on them?

I agree there were a ton of missed gun shots, in fact Gomez was hardly behind cover during the majority of the fight.

Jesse is already long gone, he jumped out of the car and ran into the desert as soon as the gun fight started. He cooked there before with Walt so he knows his way out.

Walt doesn't need to bargain for his life because he still has to cook for them.

Regardless of whether Gomez and Hank live Walt needs to worry about whether or not the recorded what he was screaming at Jesse over the phone about killing everyone. If there is a recording he has to find it.

No way Walt would have really survived being in that car while bullets were going through it.

I don't think showing their badges would have made any difference at all. Just games they were playing.

Todd's uncle wants Walt to cook for them. They pull up with Walt handcuffed in Hank's truck. They have the guns. They have the numbers.

I don't see Walt doing anything for Todd's uncle if Hank is killed. If Walt was willing to let that happen he wouldn't have told them not to come when he realized it was Hank that followed him. He had admitted defeat to Hank since he wasn't willing to hurt him.

My speculation on how this plays out....If Hank is killed by Todd's uncle, Walt's only concern will be killing him.

I thought of that scenario as well, definitely possible.

Here's a thought... In this season's first episode when they do the flash forward did Walt retrieve the ricin cigarette for himself or for someone else? Also it looks like his house was raided and then sealed. Makes me think maybe Hank survives somehow after all.

Is he going to go out smoking a ricin cigarette?

Lydia comes across as the super fragile middle man but I think she's going to emerge as some sort of kingpin. Something is very creepy about her.

You mean Walt and not Hank right? Also, I don't think Walt has any leverage at the moment. He is in handcuffs and surrounded by guys with heavy artillery. His only hope of escaping from the nazis is Lydia, imo. She wants a better product that is blue. Walt can provide that if she can get him out of the clutches of the nazis. I just can't see a scenario where he can say I'll do a few cooks and walk away from these guys at the moment. Especially if Jesse gives up to the nazis that all Walt's money is buried under their feet. Just some random thoughts to pile on to the speculation.

As for the raid if the dea comes across the recording of walt confessing to murders and marie tells what she knows, I think it wouldn't be very difficult for them to put the pieces together.

I'd forgot about Lydia, but I don't know if she becomes a kingpin or sticks her neck out for anyone. I can see her disappearing the seconds something turns sour. Maybe the european drug guys take her out for selling a crappy product.

Glad to see we got our weekly creepy Todd moment. Getting all up in Lydia's space and staring at her lip stick on the mug. I wonder if him putting his mouth on her lipstick when he drank from it was intentional?

I'd get creepy with Lydia. lol. But I agree with you. The only thing that makes me think she could be a factor is if the europeans get wind that a better product can be produced if they act to save Walt from the nazi's. That is if the nazi's actually keep him captive after saving him from Hank.

What about Walt’s gun…he dropped it and then backed up to Hank, don’t remember anyone retrieving it.

Jesse hates Todd because he killed the kid; the Nazis have Todd to cook for them after being trained by Walt, but what if someone puts a bullet in Todd’s head? Then it’s only Walt and/or Jesse to cook.

If Hank and Gomez are both killed and left at the shot out scene it would add credibility to Walt’s black mail story that Hank was the king pin, drug deal gone bad, and Walt missing also, that is if Maria gives someone the DVD.

Really have no idea how the Skylar and Maria thing is going to work out.

I also think that Lydia is more important than she has been letting on

I don't think Jesse would be able to to just run away. Even if he took off running, he couldn't get very far and being a pretty open desert area, they would be able to find him rather easily; then again Todd's group don't seem like the brightest bulbs.

I do think it will be Walt somehow negotiates Jesse getting away, but I can also see Todd's group shooting him in front of Walt which may enrage Walt more.

At this point if Todd and Lydia die I think I'll be content. Todd especially needs one between the eyes.

This is me.
I just got caught up two weeks ago and the waiting sucks.

I have been watching the show since it premiered. It caught my eye as I was flipping through the channels the night the first pilot episode aired. I have watched loyally since that night. Blind luck that I got hooked on this show.

Who is rooting for Walt? I know I shouldn't, but I just can't help it. I pull for the Phantom in Phantom of the Opera as well.
