Breaking Bad on amc

Well he is going to have a long run. But that is beside the point, this now sets up Walt having to leave town. He won't agree to cook now, and Skyler will be all kinds of pissed when she hears of Hanks demise. I don't really know what will happen with Jesse. But I really did not like him spitting in Walt's face like that, he isn't an angel himself.

I think Walt refuses to cook and in retaliation they take out Skylar and Walt Jr.

I think Walt and Jesse will team up to take out Todd and the uncles with some other kind of masterful plan. Then, since Skylar won't let Walt back into her life, Jesse and Walt both go their separate ways, get new identities, etc.

Impossible to accurately predict this ending. No backup was called that we know of. DEA doesn't even know any of this is even happening. Marie and Hank had their "I love you," over the phone. Gomez and Hank are not going to be able to withstand that firepower with a shotgun and a sidearm. If Jesse tries to run he can't make it that far.

The nazis may or may not know Walt's money is buried there. Maybe Jesse tries to use that as leverage to survive. I still feel there will be a clash between Marie and Skylar. But the gut tells me Jesse lives. Somehow he survives. But the nazis made it clear they didn't want money, only some cooks. But they have appeared greedy. So wtf knows what's going to happen. But I thought some folks would have died this week.

That's good I hope the season finale is longer than an hour. So the season finale is September 29th? And then The Walking Dead starts 2 weeks after that! :)

Amazing episode, so many great moments. Don't know how Hank and Gomie will survive this.

If somehow they survive, it puts a strain on the credibility of the writers. They have to be gone after this episode.

Favorite part of the episode was the phone call from Jesse to Walt about burning the money. Jesse sounded like he was possessed.

My thoughts:

Great episode.

Don't forget about the Tribal police and Saul is still out there, perhaps one or both come to the rescue?

Hank has to survive in some form (injured, in the hospital etc).

Jesse and Walt will reconcile now that Jesse has finally bested Walt on some level and work together against the Nazis--their way to redemption.

Marie will end up killing someone before this is all over.

Just noticed that one of the neo-nazis had a fully automatic AA-12 shotgun. Hank and Gomie are goners.

I don't think there's any way Jesse and Walt reconcile now...before he spit in Walt's face, I thought Jesse was going to off Gomez and/or Hank, himself.

I now think that Walt's retaliation will be against the nazi's. They're basically trying to make Walt an indentured servant--and I don't buy for a second they want one cook. They're not intimidated in the least by Walt, and it shows.

I think one survives of Hank and Gomez, which one, I have no idea, but it'd be fitting for it to be Hank--remember he was the lone survivor of Totuga's (head) bomb--but whoever it is, I think they're left for dead, under the impression that they already are.

Jesse survives, I think...him sliding out of the car if just foreshadowing, IMO.

No idea on what else happens...although, I wouldn't be surprised if next week's episode starts out with more revelations into Walt with the MG, after his 53rd birthday.

I remember reading somewhere that Dean Norris (Hank) asked to be killed off before the last few episodes because he got that Under the Dome show. Vince G./writers declined to kill him off early, maybe that will turn out to be a smokescreen. Don't know how he can make it through all 3 remaining, but he's in the next one for sure since nothing was concluded.

In typical BB fashion next week will probably start with another great teaser and not get back to that scene for a bit.

I just can't see a situation in which Hank or Gomie lives without it putting a serious bitter taste in my mouth. For them to somehow win a gunfight against a group of guys with Military grade weaponry would just be too far a reach for the writers. And this show has very very few moments where they "reach" during the storyline. They set the table perfectly for Hank to die. He got his triumph over Heisenberg. He finished it with the emotional phone call to Marie. They both spoke their "I love you". Now it is time for Hank to bite it. There are no "good guys" or "heroes" in this show, so I believe there will not be any real "justice" in terms of a good guy winning against the bad guy. The justice will come when Walt finally has to live with the consequences of his decisions. I think we will see something unfold where the result will be Walt dying of cancer with seven barrels full of money, and no family to give it to. The entire effort will be wasted because Walt will be alone. That will be the true justice.

I think they set up Hank's death to neatly for it to happen just yet. That said, it wouldn't surprise me.

The Pyrrhic victory you describe would indeed be a fitting end.

Hanks dead, and Marie knows about Walt and that Hank caught him. Won't she go straight to the police?

well said...would be fine with me.

Wasn't Gomez already hit in the stomach? I need to go back and watch but I thought for sure I saw red and what looked like a gunshot wound to his abdomen area.

They both have to be dead, there's no way they had enough firepower to retaliate, not to mention they had to have run out of ammo pretty quickly. I think the phone call to Marie tells us Hank is a goner. Jesse may somehow survive; I do see Walt bargaining with the Nazis for his life.

Anyone else think it was funny how little they obviously regarded Walt though? I mean they were shooting up that SUV, and Walt was in the back; Walt could have easily been killed in that shootout.

I've got Marie realizing Hank is dead because of Walt and her going after Walt, only to be killed by either Walt or Skylar.
