Breaking Bad on amc

Other than the flash forward at the beginning I found myself feeling disjointed immediately after I saw it. Now that I've had a few days to think about I appreciate the episode more.

I find myself wishing I would've waited til this season was finished and watched it all at once.

Fumigation tents...brilliant. You know there are meth producers/dealers out there that watch this show and are like "F! They are using our system! Now we gotta change up."

Note that the first episode of the series (season 1) is Walt's 50th birthday. Tonight's episode is titled "51" where he celebrates his 51st birthday. There's only been a year of events that have happened these past four seasons.

Oh, and the flash-forward in S05E01, it's his birthday and he arranges his bacon as a 52, meaning that it takes place a year from this episode.

Very interesting.

Wow, it's getting very dark. I have a feeling a main character is going to end up dead by the end of these first 8 episodes.

If Skylar survives the series I'm gonna be pissed. With that said I think the bulk of the main characters will wind up dead.

Fantastic episode tonight. It's funny how dark (quite literally) Walt's house has become every time you get a glimpse of it inside. Nice touch by the producers in adding some symbolism there.

Also, the car scene with Walt and Walt Jr. tonight......top notch. Although it's going to be really tough to watch a scene where Jr. finds out about how dad manages to afford all this if it ever comes to that. It's hard not to feel really bad for the kid.

Since we are getting closer to the ending of one of the best (my favorite) shows of all time, what would be your ideal ending?

Here's mine at a very high level:

Everyone close to Walt dies as a result of his actions. He is left completely alone, and I think it would be a nice touch if he wasn't even credited with the meth business - say Mike was somehow, which would completely deflate his ego. All he has is some remaining meth and no one. Thus, he does a hit and essentially becomes a Tuco-esque meth-head.

For Jessie, I think most people have been rooting for him the entire time. I think it would be great if he could somehow escape the ticking time-bomb that is Walt and somehow his name would be cleared. He's the guy that gets to ride off into the sunset with a decent amount of cash, nothing substantial, but enough to get his life on track. I would love the final image being of Jessie walking into a college chemistry class.

This is the ending that I have concocted in case the actual one sucks. I don't imagine the ending will be bad, because BB has only let me down once with the Fly episode.

Also, this is me not being able to sleep this late at night.

As I stated above I think the core of the main characters will end up dead (this includes his whole family). I think the gun he is purchasing in the flash forward isn't for protection; it's for revenge. I also wouldn't be surprised if Walt Jr. winds up surviving but becoming a junkie on Walt's meth.

I'm with you on hoping Jessie survives and ends up making something of himself.

Damn, that sound like an awesome ending.

I love the show, but I'm a little tired of Skylar's new fear of Walt. Get on board, or get out!
Though I did love her freak out on her sister last week. I think everyone has wanted to scream that at her for a while.

Skyler smokes like a chimney.

Ricin is hidden in the electrical outlet.

Skyler Problem solved.

(I dont think Walt would do this but it's almost too obvious)
