Bray Will Play

Freaking stupid. I lose faith more every day in this group of "coaches". You don't pull a good QB, yes simms is a good QB, for an unproven freshman. Soooooooooo STUPID.

I stopped reading when I fell in the floor laughing. Come on Phil, I know you won a super bowl with the giants and all, but Matt GOOD??????? I'll give you average at best.

Giving Bray PT as a freshmen is to give him confidence. After he throws a pick and they pull him. And they WILL pull him, he will be worse off than before.

The secondary is the weakest part of bama's defense. Their front 7 is outstanding though. If we can't keep them off of Bray, it won't matter who's playing qb. It'd be nice if our o-line could give the qb, whoever it is, enough time to throw some stuff over the middle and deep balls. But we're gonna see alot of running and quick passes. Here's to hoping for a miracle.

Bray is the future so he has to start playing more and more and ultimately become the starter.

i agree with this statement. i think it will depend on the pressure simms is facing. if they are hitting him almost every play, i doubt we will see bray IMO. LSU has the best OVERALL defense in the SEC, but IMO, bama brings the most pressure on the QB's

I'm going to remember that if he get's hurt Saturday...

:shakehead: I bet you are a fan on not playing your best talent on special teams as well. It's FOOTBALL dude. If Bray wanted less of chance of getting hurt, he should have taken up knitting.

I don't like this move at all - I don't think Simms is our problem. I'm reminded too much of the "Eric will start, but Rick will play" period. If we're experimenting for future benefit, as opposed to winning this game this week, I may just watch at home.

The win/loss doesn't reflect it but he is a good QB. Give him an experienced offensive line and receivers and you'll see a different Simms.

Is Simms the problem? No. But is he better than Bray? Let it play out. Those worried about his confidence should delve a little into the history of good qb's. Most deal with mistakes rather well. And if they can't deal with it Im sure the coaches would rather know sooner rather than later.

They said he would play, not start. If Simms throws a pick and they pull him it would do the same thing. It will be a rotating QB system from what it sounds like.

Neither QB is going to be able to carry us past Alabama on his own. Or with everyone else, for that matter.

David who? Haha. Not even close to the same situation. Ever hear of the Peyton Manning experiment. That one worked out OK.

Peyton is the exception to the rule, most times when you start a QB before they are ready they end up busts. I don't want our "future" to end up gun shy from the abuse he'll be taking.
