Has anyone read if/when Dooley may start Bray to see how he reacts to the pressure of SEC game time? I am in Afghanistan and don't get a lot of time to surf the net! Just curious...I have read a lot of good things about Bray! Not saying Simms is doing terrible, just wanna see where our other Freshman stands behind our offensive line! GO VOLS!

No news from Knoxville indicating that there's even a chance for Bray to start this year. Unless you count the droves of Simms haters on VN.

And I think Dooley realized that Bray wasnt ready against UTM. He didnt come close to letting him loose on an less than special FCS School.

Not anytime soon unless Simms gets hurt. He got a little playing time in the UT-Martin game and looked like a freshman, he went 3 of 6 w/ a pick. Still needs to put on some weight and obviously needs time to learn the playbook and adjust to the speed of the game.

He does have a very familiar frame though...

If we get drilled tomorrow and Simms sucks, I feel that Dooley should throw Bray in there the next week forward. I honestly feel that Simms is not gonna be the starter next year and might as well let Bray get some reps and be ready for next year

Dooley knows that nothing will be special this year. Get through the USCeast game and let Bray finish it out against Ole Miss, Vandy, and UK to get him some reps for next year.

I think Bray will end up starting by the end of the year.....unless Simms shows dramatic improvement which I don't see him making...sorry you're in the 'ghan...... it's relatively quite here in Iraq

Simms getting injured or throwing 4+ picks in a half is the only way Bray sees any meaningful minutes this season.

While I don't agree that this will not be a special year! I think we have a lot of special things going on at The Hill this year! New Coach that most of us agree is going to be good for the program, holds our players responisble and requires every ounce of effort from them! Young talent for Coach Dooley to mold into a dangerous team! The Seniors we do have are devoted and sticking it out because they have heart and virtues to teach our younger teammates that commitment at UT is lifelong! Oh and another special thing that has already happened is that Kiffin is no longer here!

I do agree with the idea of getting through the majority of the season and giving Bray a chance and some experience!

Raq is looking more like a resort compared to this crap hole! Stays pretty noisy round here and we had a pretty big earthquake last night!

Stay safe bro and maybe I'll see you on River Street!

I believe Simms made somewhat of a statement today. If he is able to keep getting better and not make so many stupid throws he may end up being pretty good. He threw with poise and power today. If he can get his accuracy better and start reading defenses he could actually be pretty good. Great coaching job by our staff today too in preparing him for another big game. They looked decent at times today. Especially Simms.
