Moved back up to 12th in the NET. Thanks to Arizona St.
btw last year the top two seed lines were all ranked accordingly in the NET. Meaning teams ranked 1-4 were 1 seeds, and 5-8 were 2.

Well all the seeds behind us lost which is great but my goodness all the teams ahead of us keep winning so its hard to move up. Sadly I think we will have to beat one of Kentucky or Auburn to get a 3 seed. I don't see teams like Duke or Illinois dropping much more games. Anything can happen of course though.Updated matrix…

How does LSU continue to be listed so high? While they are 16-7, they are 1-6 in there last 7 games. They are going to be an interesting team to seed. They will probably go 4-4 or 3-5 to finish season. That gives them 19 or 20 wins but 5-10 or 4-11 over last 15 games prior to SEC tourney. I guess that puts them in tourney but they would have to be a very low seed.Updated matrix…

If they seeded today for sure. And likely will be anyway, but the NET has a predictive component and those ratings don’t like Auburn as much. The highest they rank in any of the main predictive ratings is 8th. Obviously since the season hasn’t played out teams are buoyed by their SOR which Auburn is #1 in. If the predictive ratings are right and Auburn loses a few and to UK who is now the statistical favorite to win the SECT, then I could theoretically see it. I think people were probably saying the same about Baylor and they’ve really slumped, and theyve been significantly higher in the predictive ratings than Auburn. There aren’t any teams who are locks IMO.As of now, that won’t happen. Houston won’t be a one seed, and Auburn will be a one seed.
The matrix still had over 30 brackets that hadn’t been updated since last weekends games. How does LSU continue to be listed so high? While they are 16-7, they are 1-6 in there last 7 games. I'm done pretending that any rational moves up or down will occur in our favor. It is simply maddening. Again, LSU still right on our heels after another bad loss, and 6 of their last 7 games with the sole win coming at home vs a reeling Texas A&M team who has lost 6 straight games, themselves.Michigan State lost to a bad Rutgers team yesterday so we’ll move up at least into the 4-seed line.
We just need to take care of our own business and we’ll be fine. Lots of Q1 opportunities coming up. If we just win our own games we’ll move up and won’t have to worry about what other people do.

Thats very true, as long as we play like we have been playing then we have a good chance to beat Kentucky and Auburn both at home. Those games we just can't afford to have 5 minute scoring droughts like we have had a lot this seasonMichigan State lost to a bad Rutgers team yesterday so we’ll move up at least into the 4-seed line.
