Boycott ABC, ESPN & All Disney Products and Properties

The FCC directed ABC to punish Jimmy Kimmel over his monologue Monday or else face retribution.

And now ABC suspended him.

Free speech remains a Constitutional right in this country, despite Trump's authoritarian efforts to squash it and the Judicial Branch. Kimmel's material broke no laws and is protected by the 1st Amendment. If you support this FTC mob action, then you oppose free speech. It's that simple.

Disney owns ABC, ESPN, Hulu and obviously a bunch of other stuff. Since Disney executives lack the spine to stand up to Trump's bullying, it's time to hit them in the pocketbook.

Given prior comments from many in the MAGA cult about Disney's "wokeness", this action should be received with open arms even by the ruby red right.

Here's a list of the companies, products and services to boycott:

BOYCOTT DISNEY
What are you going to do when UT plays on ABC/ESPN? Watch Kimmel reruns on YouTube? It appears that you haven’t thought this through thoroughly.

And there you have it in black and white.

Nexstar needs the FCC to approve an *exception* that allows its merger to occur. As a result, the FCC has Nexstar by the short and curlies. Trump wants all his vocal critics fired (as he's already publicly stated many times), so he has Kimmel's boss right where he wants it: 100% under his thumb.

And the deal is as simple as it is authoritarian: Fire Kimmel or the FCC doesn't approve your merger.

This is Banana Republic strongman ******** right here folks.

Their best case for an exception is that the ownership rule was established pre-internet and before cable TV became viable.

Don’t ignore the fact that Trump is pro-business. Appeasing those in power is nothing new. He’s not going to be an ass-hole like when Biden’s people blocked Spirit Airlines from merging to protect the consumers. That stance drove Spirit into bankruptcy. That was ultimately great for the consumer, right? Trump’s going to be supportive because a merger sustains the economic viability of broadcasting groups. Nexstar and Tegna might not exist individually a decade from now. Stop with the nonsense that they’re firing Kimmel in exchange for a favor from Trump. He’s being blown out because a significant number of Nexstar and Sinclair viewers have had enough of his **** show.

🤔

Wonder if you actually believe this.

How about a link supporting your "facts".

The leftist clowns can go first. Where’s a factual link that Trump’s administration is going to block the merger unless Nexstar pulls Kimmel.

But connecting the dots should be a simple exercise. Consumers’ voices were heard loud and clear with Bud Light and Cracker Barrel..

Are you taking about something from the early 2000's. This merger with Nexstar is now. It needs the FCC to sign off. You aren't pretending that didn't play a role here are you? Of course nextstar revolted when the head of FCC applied pressure
I'm rarely on the other side of an "issue" with you. I hope you'll have time to discuss today.

Well.... as you guys have been saying about Charlie.

"Keep saying stupid ****, **** happens to ya"

**** Kimmel, he's been a bootlicker for years, from a perv to a woke cuck. I remember when the late night shows use to be funny and tore down all the political ********.

Hey my family likes Disney. We went this summer for 25th wedding anniversary. We go and have fun pray before we eat our meals as family. Stayed at the Polynesian Resort

Disney could and may do this... it's the easy way out. But given the actual content of the purported infraction contemplated, it would fall on its face in a sniff text.

No violation of FCC rules occurred. One could argue that Kimmel's comments were in poor taste, but could the FCC - legally - impose sanctions on ABC for this?

No way on God's green Earth.
Agree… Seems like a cop out by ABC.

I hate cancel culture so boycott ABC!

LOL

Citizens boycotting a product for political purposes is a healthy and democratic strategy within a capitalist society. Governments cracking down on dissent is not, and is authoritarian. I’ve never seen the first amendment as threatened as I have during this presidency.

Dissent? In what way is Kimmel dissenting?

As is typical, anti-Trumpers embellish the truth.

The FCC chief talks about pushing back. Without actually carrying through with violating somebody’s civil rights. It’s worse when a weaponized DOJ actually t moves against an administration’s opponent and doesn’t truthfully explain what motivated their actions.

SMH. No ones first amendment rights have been threatened. The government is not going to detain or interrogate anyone, unless their speech is made in a threatening manner.

Employers on the other hand, have this code of conduct clause and it's usually located in the employee handbook or contract, prior to one's start date.

I understand the power of the FCC. And I think that power is why the 'free spech / first admendment' talking points don't apply.

I don't align with trump. I am agree with the position of ETV...although I may not agree with his reasoning.
