TN is the new hotness. Who expected a team with only 3 wins and struggling to put up 21pts last year to being 7-5 and putting 40+ on teams
TN Fans travel well and spend $$
TN has jumped teams before...
We're not Music City Bound, we'll see Nashville in the Spring for the O&W:cool:

Starting to come around to what I posted before. Too many west teams needing a decent destination for us to go to Nashville. We are Charlotte or Florida. Really gonna be interesting to see what the Outback does between us and Arkansas. I think A&M is out because of the combo of distance and finishing poorly. Outback wants an 8 win team, but we'll bring 15k - 20k more fans to the game because we're 400 miles closer and have a larger fan base. For years there were some "Bull Gators" (high $ UF boosters) on that bowl committee and they made some anti-TN decisions. Not sure if that is still true. If Outback picks Arky, then the SEC may want us to do something other than a 3rd Gator bowl in 8 years since we've never been to Charlotte for a bowl.

If we end up playing Virginia, Miami or Sherwood Forest that wood be horrible. ACC stinks and always will. If we do we better curb stomp them . Clemson would actually be a competitive game.

If they lose, at 10-3 they likely end up falling behind 9-3 Clemson (and maybe even 9-3 NC State) in the ACC bowl selections.

That would drop them below the Cheez-It Bowl and puts them in the next pool/tier of the ACC bowl tie-ins for the ACC front offices to place.

That tier consists of the Gator Bowl, Duke’s Mayo Bowl, Tony the Tiger Sun Bowl, Pinstripe Bowl, Holiday Bowl, Fenway Bowl, and Military Bowl.

Coach Heup's grown quite close to Rush Propst (yeah, he's still hanging around the program). Word is, under Propst's influence, Heupel's decided to be head coach of both UT and OU simultaneously. Not sure what I think about that, but, in any case, he'll coach our bowl game (and Oklahoma's).
