And once again-far from optimal.

Everyone whining and complaining that the season did not live up to THEIR expectations-when they should be happy the wheels didn't fall off completely. We got lucky. Very lucky. And had a schedule which was meh.

Next year our schedule is a big ouch

Two years in a row if Aguilar not having spring practice

Just sounds like a recipe for disaster
Nobody on the roster has shown they can outplay Joey, even though he only had a few months to prepare. Unless they go get a starter from the tp, I dont see how they have a choice but to keep a spot for him

Still doesn't solve the problem. Chances are, it's gonna be the summer before anything happens in the lawsuit-if not later

How you gonna handle spring practice if JA is still a question mark?

You give him reps or you give them to the younger guys in case the lawsuit fails?

Messy
If Pavia's 2024 lawsuit that let him play this year is any indication, he got an injunction in December 2024 which allowed him to play pending the outcome of the lawsuit. While waiting, the NCAA "rolled over" and agreed to let him play before the case was heard. I believe it was "tabled" (or whatever it's called legally) and the Joey A suit is the "amended version" of the same lawsuit with more players added.

I'd expect we'll see a similar motion for an injunction to play filed by Joey A and others if it hasn't already been filed, so we'll almost certainly know before Spring ball.

I assume UT has legal staff looking at the case and advising Heupel and admins on the likelihood of Joey A playing next year.

I hope the NCAA mans up and strongly defends the lawsuit. I don’t think Pavia and JA should be able to play college football professionally until they are 40 years old. The fact that JA is our QB doesn’t affect my opinion. If those two can’t play in the NFL or CFL, their playing days should be over.
