Just trying to understand the moral ground of a vn poster

what's that got to do with this situation? I also wasn't aware that you're the moral compass for all of us. Should I ask you if the decision I'm going to make later will keep me in good moral standing? You're better than this man.

Sounds like they want Tennessee to keep paying his salary while he helps with the offense. If they name him as an OC then that means they have to pay him more. Butch is dumb

If that’s the case, Maryland is getting a coach for next to nothing while UT continues to pay Butch. Sounds like UT (previous admin) is the dumb one.

It does not sound like it from the way they are rumored to be structuring his deal.

From what I understand, UT would be able to reduce payout if it can prove that his pay structure is artificially low in order to keep UT on the hook. I wish I could remember the article on how that all works.

Butch is going to do everything he can to squeeze every dime out of Tennessee that he can get.

By the way, does it seem to anyone else that all these universities must have the dumbest lawyers in the world. Football coaches who get fired for doing a lousy job keep the school bent over a log and
collect millions and millions from them. it seems like these "contracts" always means the school gets
screwed when some headphone-wearing loser can't produce a winning program.

we are talking about FOOTBALL COACHES here, not world class brain surgeons. if there are any
lawyers on the board that can explain why these "contracts" can't have stronger performance
clauses i'm sure a lot of people might appreciate an explanation.

Because sports agents either are or hire VERY good lawyers.

Good luck to Butch. He was in over his head here, but I don't blame him for giving it a go. I blame the numb skulls who hired him-and Kiffin-and Donnie-and Konzo- and Curry-the list never ends.

Sounds like an offensive quality control position, probably still only pay him $35-40k/year.
Exactly. Butch doesn’t want to coach anymore he’s a stat guy not a coach. So basically we will fully pay him I’m betting
