This is a great addition! We are friends of one of his family members. Tennessee was always the favorite, so Brayden let Tennessee have the final visit. Someone in his family is a big Alabama fan and he was being recruited hard by the other programs. All of Tennessee coaches had written letters to Brayden’s mom. Thought that was a cool touch. Tennessee really impressed this family and out-recruited everyone. Brayden is top 7 LB and 247 has him as top 4 LB in the country.

Flew from Denver to Knox last week. It was week apparently college kids were touring. Talked to at least three diff lids who were touring UTK, ETSU. and or Clemson. All were from PNW or Western US.

Also talked to a crew who went to Rockies game. They knew who Jordan Beck was. Even talked about our Nat.
Do you live in my neck of the woods? (Colorado)

William Inge is a great hire. If/when Banks leaves,Is Inge is in line to get the DC job?
I feel confident he can get players and I see he can coach up the LB's. Hopefully he'll carry on the tradition of stingy, top 10 D around here for a long time!

I felt rhat was his best hire to replace anyone from his original group. Not sure if Banks or Huepel deserves more credit for it though.

Play him at STAR as a freshman.. This is what I've been looking for that position. Someone who can play both the pass and lay wood in the run game. Love it. Hope he shows up

No booms tho... college recruiting is dead
Absolutely correct, recruiting means nothing in todays game

In 2025 Class, there were (depending on service) +/-:
- 32 5-Star Recruits
- 350 4-Star Recruits
- 2,000 3-Star Recruits
- There are 68 Power 4 Schools, all with something to offer.
If 50% of our class each year is made up of 4 star talent with 1-2 5-Stars thrown in and the rest are 3-Star, we have recruited well. After that it is all about development.

That has bumped Tennessee's '26 class to 13th on rivals. For '25 we are 11th. That got me thinking, how good a class do you need to actually be in the running for a NC? Has the portal made that question obsolete? I don't think so as the top 5 schools for '25 and '26 are Texas, Georgia, Alabama, Oregon and Ohio State, all programs you can routinely bet on for the playoffs. However, as a caveat Phil Steele has Clemson preseason ranked #6 and is his sleeper team to win it all. Clemson, per rivals, was 23rd in '25 and is currently at 11th for '26 so they prove class rank is not everything. I guess my ultimate question is Tennessee a legitimate contender if they remain a top 15 recruiting program or do those 5 above just have too much depth for my Vols to compete? Ohio State definitely looked better at every position in the playoff game as much as I hate to admit it.
