Waters is kinda like Harper, almost unstoppable when he makes up his mind he's driving to the basket, but lacks the size to finish.

That's sucks. He is as good or better than anyone on that list. Its q absolute shame

But.....he’s not. At least four of those guys. You definitely argue he’s better than Waters.

Bone is great but he’s not a top 5 PG in the country. Coby White not on this list is a bigger crime.

Coby is about to take them to a final 4

Bone is as good as any point guard in the country, maybe better since he is certainly the quickest I've seen all year.

Hopefully Bone will have a head to head with Waters in the SEC tourney. Using this as motivation, I bet he lights them up.

Unless Anthony Jordan is the ref

I think a case can be made that Bone deserves it over Perkins or Waters...Bone’s numbers are better than Waters and almost mirror Perkins, add in that Bone outplayed both H2H.

If Bone stays for his senior year, he will win it next year or at least be the preseason favorite

I like seeing our guys get recognized, but honestly this team plays better when they perceive (rightly or wrongly) that they are being disrespected or overlooked. It's part of their DNA. People derive motivation from different things and this team, particularly Schofield, seems to derive it from people saying they can't do something, are overrated, etc.

Unfortunately, I think they have seen that Bone has made too many mistakes/turnovers in certain situations..... like late shot clock execution....

Agree, except for the outplaying both H2H part. Bone didn’t face Waters (injured), and he and Perkins both had sorry days shooting in their matchup. Perkins was 0-6, 0 pts, 9 assts, 1 TO, and Bone was 2-13, 5 points, 9 asst, 3 TOs.

It is hard for me to dismiss the level of competition Bone, or Coby White for that matter, faces every day vs someone like Perkins or Morant. That isn’t to dismiss what those guy have done, and I’m certainly not suggesting Morant he moved off the line in favor of Bone. A lot of worthy candidates.

To your point, yes, Bone is one of the Top 5 point guards in America.

Level of competition does matter, and Bone has become one of the Top 5. No one, absolutely no one, has a great game every time out.

Not sure why I thought Bone played better against Gonzaga and yea completely forgot about Waters being out lol.

I definitely think he deserved to be in over Waters and that a legitimate argument could be made over Perkins, hopefully it just motivates him even more.

That's a really bad take

Waters is the one that has single handedly lost a number of game for LSU.

In their losses he's had

6, 5, 6, 5 and 3 TOs

He tries to do way too much in many of their games
