Bone declaring for NBA draft

Is he going to grow three inches? Improve his wingspan? Became an elite leaper?

Grants issue aren’t skills. If he was 6’10 he would have been one and done. He will be a year older and teams want young guys to work with. He’s already projected in the 20’s. He won’t be lottery pick next year even if he shoots well.

Grant improving his jumper (and we are assuming Barnes let’s him shoot 100 3’s, everything else is SSS) won’t help his stock because most teams believe they can teach a guy to shoot.

Sorry I can't buy that shooting better isn't a factor in where a player is drafted.
Sorry but that doesn't hold water

You only waste time in G league if you’re chasing money. Grant isn’t that type of person that much is obvious

1) We don’t know what Grant wants

2) Plenty of first round picks have played in the G-League and developed there

It can if you’re a freshman to sophomore or even sophomore to junior. But for a junior to senior, not very much.

Besides shooting isn’t the issue with Grant when it comes to his NBA prospects. The issues he has aren’t going to be fixed by coming back as I’ve stated.

Smart move, get an evaluation and see if this is the best year to enter the draft to maximize potential money.

I actually think Bone still has growth potential whereas Grant is who he is, hope both return but believe if Bone returned and averaged closer to 20ppg with his assist to turnover ratio near 3 his stock can rise.

20years old is 20 years old. I am sure we could have a rational debate about how much shooting the 3 better could improve his stock but to say it doesn't matter isn't rational. Now I can hear that improving a few spots isn't worth coming back but no doubt he could improve at least a little

It's not like he won't have that opportunity next year... and with Admiral leaving that a humongous # of possessions and shots to fill, he could be the guy.

I think he would improve his draft stock greatly if he has a solid season next year.

Bruin. The NBA doesn't work like that.

They care about form and free throw percentage when they evaluate shooting ability. He has nice form and hits over 80 from the line.

They would consider him a good shooter who can easily develop into a NBA three point shooter with NBA coaching.

Damn I hate to learn that. I really was hoping Zion was going to be a good draft.

Perhaps he will go back to Duke

The question is can grant improve his stock enough to go from a late first rounder/early second round pick to being for sure in the middle of the first to late first round.

Shooting is a way he can improve those things. Now is it worth it that's a different question.

Prospects almost have to come out this year. The NBA is trying to lower the age limit to allowing HS seniors to he drafted. So next year could be a "double draft". Almost no chance fringe players even get a second look

That won't likely happen until the next collective bargaining agreement in 2022.

Great speed, solid athleticism. He is a very good pick n roll point guard. I think his defense could use some work which would scare me as a Gm just because Curry, Westbrook, Kyrie, Dame, Wall and Chris Paul. It’s a point guard league now so he better bring his lunch.

Incredible how easy this is to understand.

I wish him nothing but the best. From a purely basketball perspective, he's definitely going to get drafted. Do I think he's a first round pick, not yet. He has first round ability, but he's not consistent enough. You can't put up 20 and 8 one night and 10 and five the next. Improvements on his fg%, particularly from 3 are needed, and with his high level of athleticism, he could be a better defender. But whatever his decision, I'll pull for him wherever he lands. GB🍊

I think he could improve a little but not much. I’m talking about handling the ball, defensively, shooting, and other things. He seems to have pretty much tapped out his ability. I don’t see much upside remaining but I could be wrong. I think he has less chance of hurting his stock than he does improving it by returning but I don’t see him taking a big step forward from where he is now. I’ll gladly admit I thought the same last year to this year and he proved me wrong.

I don’t get leaving early unless you are darn sure you’re a first round pick. Bone wouldn’t be a first round pick normally but I don’t know enough about who else is coming out that may affect that. If he’s the top PG or in the top 2 maybe he does go first round because I guarantee someone needs a PG and that team will not want to risk losing out. If he’s leaving I have to think he sees something along those lines.

I get the feeling you don't like me. That's ok. I like you.
Not at all. I don’t take anything personally here and I hope nobody else does.

I think if we return bone and Williams what we could be just as good next year .
