Lol retread Petrino now possiby retread Strong. Thats just dumb. Move on they both left you for other women and you want them back. SMH
Petrino LITERALLY left for women. Strong left for a top 5 job. Strong’s the smart move.

Yeah but strong failed at Texas badly. Almost impossible to fail there too. Now Louisville thinking as bout bringing him back. Not the same hire. Try someone new imo who might view Louisville as a 10 year job. Clearly Strong did not.

I predicted Strong would struggle if not fail here. Texas requires that golf & bbq ambassador type as well as X’s and O’s/recruiting. It’s not difficult to struggle/fail here much less be impossible with that caveat. Louisville needs a good to great recruiter with all the wanderlust beaten out of him. They get that with Strong and he never leaves them willingly again imo. He advanced the program before one coach removed from Petrino. Would do even better with their current resources.

I’d take a flyer on Hue Jackson. It’s a little outside of the normal list of re-tread college coaches and so called up and comers. He seems like he’d be a good recruiter, since NFL guys loved playing for him. Like Herm Edwards, he’s not a good NFL head coach, but his personality seems like he could recruit. Herm is somewhat having success this year out in Tempe.

Louisville isn’t a top flight job but it rates more than a “seems like” candidate.

I’d say they are similar to Arizona State. I don’t see Louisville as a highly appealing job. None of the candidates so far seem too appealing.

When they was in the American Athletic Conference that was true, not now in the ACC. They have the name brand, conference and recruiting base to be a solid annual Top 20 program.
